Thats a really really good compressor! I wonder how 2 would go across a mix. Has a roundness to it that hip-hop guys would love. They should do a stereo mastering unit.
Interesting idea. We haven't tried that - although a little goes a long way with this compressor so you'd need to be careful! You're right about the roundness - it's excellent for smoothing out harsh transients 👍
@@kmraudio Yeah you would only do 1-3dB of gain reduction before hitting a limiter like the LAAL with 5-7dB of limiting. But from the round sound and transient lift on the drums, I can hear that it would work well with the right material. I would be interested if I didn't already own a whole bunch like the Fairman TMC, Elysia Alpha etc. First time in ages I have been impressed by a compressor demo!
The first mix sounds stereo - how did you guys process that with this comp? Each track separately? I was under the impression the first example is on the mixbuss
Yes, each track was processed individually - you can check the individual settings in the schematic under the video as it progresses. We then break the track down and build it up from the drums up (soloing each instrument in turn) so you can judge how the processor affects each one. If you check the "Full MIx" section at the end you can hear the full processed/bypassed sound. The idea was to demonstrate how the EC5B would influence your mixes just using this single processor to get an idea of its sonic footprint.
Opening mix nicely.
It closes the mix completely.
Este aparto está a la venta /cual es su precio????

@@kmraudiothats what i figured. Sounds awesome
Sounds better than the manley vari mu for hip hop
I’d definitely get both if possible.
@@JohnZornAscendedmight get rid of the manley vari mu after all wonder how good it will be for my vocals
@@1kingstan795 I don’t think it would one size fits all, that’s why I would keep the Manley.
🔥🔥sounds good!

Pumps a little but amazing behaviour.
Yep, this one's got a lot of personality - we really like it! 👍
