  • So how do you get started with machine learning and AI? What should you learn first? Well in this video I will be discussing the exact things you need to learn to get started with machine learning. I'll be talking about which language to learn, how much math you need and what ML algorithms to learn first.

Great video.. I am a farely new sub to your channel.. Gotta say hands down really nice content and I can connect to your language and how put things so well!
I just wanted help, I done learning Python. I want to start getting Data Science and Machine Learning.
I tried few things but not able to understand some part.. But one main question is that should I use:
Anaconda or the Vanilla Python for Machine Learning and Data Science?
      Thanks again!

steps of getting started with machine learning:
    1. Get excited about machine learning.
    2. Learn birds eye topics and think you understand machine learning.
    3. Learn more about math and realize you don't understand machine learning.
    4. Realize no one understands machine learning.

Also it may be wise to learn MATLAB to a fairly advanced level before doing ML. The jump from basic Python to ML is quite a big one, I was not able to make that jump and got fired from my job because of it. You must know how to populate matrices by row and column, take the average, etc. A basic Python course won't cover these things, but MATLAB courses are more specific for the type of things you will be doing as an machine learning engineer or data scientist.

Hi Tim. Thanks for all your videos. If we did want to understand the math behind ML, where do you recommend we start and how do we go about it? 'Linear algebra' and 'calculus' are huge areas, so I was wondering if you could recommend how someone who wanted to get up to speed on the math behind ML do so. Thanks and good luck in 2022!

This seems interesting. My university sadly is dumb and they do not know the sequence in which to teach. We have started soft computing directly from Neural Networks (without even having studied AI!). In activation function, it was mentioned that it is necessary, otherwise the NN will behave like a linear regressive model and it won't help a lot in learning, and i said to myself, "What the heck!?"!
