      @Eirik Magnus Larssen The Irish Republic was a total disaster because the Irish economy collapsed after Irish independence in 1921 and millions of Irish people emigrated to other countries! Why do you think that Ireland has the biggest number of emigrants in the world? Because the Irish economy is in such bad shape after leaving the United Kingdon.

    • @angusmeigh5141
      @angusmeigh5141 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Eirik Magnus Larssen No millions of Irish people left Ireland after the country gained independence in 1921! The Irish state was established in 1921 not 1937. And Ireland has got the highest emigration rate of any country. Hundreds of thousands of Irish left Ireland right up until very recently in the early 1990s!

    I’ll never forget that day. I just started working as a young apprentice electrician and was doing a job in town that day. On my way home I had to pass Nassau Street where a car with a northern registration had been burnt out by those thugs. Anyways, as i walked past a photographer photographed me and I was on the front page of the Sun the next day. When my boss saw it he nearly sacked me until I explained what actually happened😅

"C'mon kids... lets leave our Malahide mansion n' go watch a bunch of orange loyalists smugly parade past the GPO and through our nations capital. It'll be great craic!" No, because this was not an "outing with the kids" type of march. It was a march that was obviously going to fuelling nothing but hatred, anger and violence. And you're deluded if you think it was going attract anything other than what it did. I blame the morons who allowed a march like this to take place. its as almost as if they wanted a riot with all the construction laying around. FAIR was a partisan group established to voice outrage at killings by the Republican paramilitary organisations, Frazer had said of loyalist paramilitary prisoners that "They should never have been locked up in the first place",
    An example of this alleged attitude is the previous displaying of the picture of an Ulster Volunteer Force member who was allegedly involved, among others, in the murder of 26 people in Dublin in the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan Bombings, and who was himself killed by the Provisional IRA in 1976. His picture had appeared at FAIR rallies and an organiser of the Love Ulster demonstration previously told a republican newspaper that he would not guarantee that images of the murder suspect would not be displayed during the demonstration.
    There was nothing about love ulster in this parade, It was a stick for poking. These fuckin dinosaur parades have no place on either side in the 21st century.

    Should have let them march peacefully. If you think the OO marchers weren't looking for exactly the kind of reaction they got, you're a bit naive. They shouldn't have been given the satisfaction. If you really wanted to hurt them, totally ignoring them, would have been infinitely more effective.

    Why did loyalists want to march through the centre of Dublin past the GPO? In Glasgow loyalists get there nickers in a twist if a Republican parade goes past George Sq. They were happy at having the march was given the go ahead it was win-win for them after that happened

      No. This was our first experience of a loyalist march in Dublin since the 1930s and our government was perhaps excessively optimistic about how it would be received. But also remember that Willie Frazer is a very controversial character. He posed as a victims campaigner, but BBC have reported that he armed Loyalist paramilitaries and the Belfast Telegraph has reported up to 70 people were killed with those guns. www.bbc.com/news/uk-northern-ireland-49969567
