THAT'S WHERE I KNOW HIM FROM! lol I've seen this episode so many times and I always think both of them look familiar, but then I forgot to look it up. lol
Gore orphanage was a real place. I live near where it used to be. There's a story about how it was burned down by an angry worker with the children other employees still inside, killing all of them. That's the "local legend", what actually happened is the place did burn down, but years after it was abandoned. People swear they could hear children screaming late at night there. The sound they are actually hearing is traffic on the highway near there. Now there is a nice house on a couple acres of land and no trespassing signs around the property. The owners got tired of teenagers coming onto their land because of the story. The orphanage was next to a park called Mill Hollow in Vermilion Ohio. The road there is called Gore Orphanage rd.
This is such a great episode. I really love the two guys playing Sam & Dean (No, not Jared and Jensen 😂) and yeah I would love to do a ghost hunt like this, as long as it's not real ghosts ofc!

Sam and Dean didn't survive either. If it weren't for heaven and hell wanting these two as their vessels, Dean would have stayed dead after the traffic accident in the s1 finale. And the same goes for Sam.

Not the only one to think it but the hook 2:22 looks like Jim Carrey.. It isnt him obviously but the guy has been told it himself before and like Jim, is Canadian! Also the fat guy as Dean. is Buzz from Home Alone
The spn conventions are a whole different thing than other shows. They have music and a Saturday night concert that’s included where robs (chuck) band plays and a bunch of actors perform. (Jensen is AMAZING singer)and it’s a weekend event to attend. But you can watch panels on TH-cam and the boys are fantastic.
I really love this episode and as someone who have been to conventions since years (no supernatural by now that is still on my to do list) I think most things are very accurate. And I love, that they also have a LARP on the conventions, which is not usual for all conventions. Also loved Dean & Sam 2.0 in this episode. If you ever decide to go to a convention and need a helping hand, let me know... I helped some first time convention goer already and worked on the other side of the business for a short while. Thank you very much for the great reaction - loved especially this one very much. Not only because it is one of my favorite episodes, but also because I loved your commentary and really appreciate your words about fandoms and the bts meaning of this episode. I don't know what the writers thought while writing it and if it really was meant as a love letter to the fans, but have the same opinion for most of the things you said. Looking forward to your next reactions and may you have a lovely day.
Being the 1st convention & put on by Becky & Chuck, very small indeed. I went to my first & last this January in Dallas. I think it should've been cancelled again because Texas is still a hot bed of COVID cases but they didn't cancel & no refunds. 5 stars cancelled. Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer), Rachel Miner (Meg), Richard Speight Jr. (The Trickster), Matt Cohen (young John Winchester, who cancelled the morning of the first day of the convention due to testing positive), & one I can't tell you cuz you haven't met him yet, So we went or lose over $2500. Weekend tickets are over $1000 each. That gets you some complimentary autographs. You can bring books or acceptable items or buy pictures there for them to sign, pay for pictures of them to sign, pay for pictures with them. All the lines go fast because it's no talking, they won't even put your name on it if it's any of the complimentary autographs. Some didn't even look up at you because the people next to them were shoving the next picture at them. All that was a very disappointing experience for me. The other actors, Like Garth and some you haven't met yet, did their own thing. They would talk to you for a minute while signing & you could pay to have a selfie with them on your phone. There are vendors around so you can buy stuff. You can pay to take a picture in a car that looks just like Baby on your phone. I had a photo op with Jared & Jensen & another with Castiel & they came out bad, my face was turned to far back. The photographer, I heard was great, & would take another shot right away if the shot didn't look good but the employees were rushing us through so fast that didn't happen for me! We got the pictures within an hour but no re-dos. I am devastated. The only thing I really enjoyed, were the panels, when they talked on stage & answered questions & talking with Garth & Ash. We couldn't afford bidding on a "Meet & Greet" with anyone. Their is a concert with Chuck's band, Louden Swain, which is good but with COVID & it was packed, we didn't go. There's Karaoke night, a cosplay & couple trivia games. I guess I am too old & expected too much. We bought our tickets in 2019 but due to COVID they postponed twice. You could ask for a refund for a limited time or they would give you new tickets to the next date. We thought COVID would be over by then. TWICE. They gave us extras to keep our tickets, but my hubby didn't get his. An autographed pic of one of the stars & a $200 voucher for their merchandise. I'm not impressed with Creation Entertainment, who puts on these conventions. If I had the money, I would not spend it on a Creation event. Maybe if another company put it on I might, but I think my time is up. I didn't meet Sam & Dean, I didn't meet Jared or Jensen. I know other people had a good time. That is just our experience.
