Bought mine new in the 70’s. Heavy but the sound is superb. Had it professionally cleaned and adjusted once. Some of the dial lights flicker. If I get it cleaned again, I’d replace the lights with LEDs. They just don’t build them like this anymore. No comparison with my Yamaha 5.1 or Pioneer 7.2 AV receivers. Can’t let go of my 7070.
@@Tom52NJ. I'm not sure why but I always ignored Sansui until I got a Sansui 4000 for a real bargin. Wow....amazing....been looking for 7070 for 6 months now but other than ebay or a state too far awary they just don't pop up very often. Thank you.
@@davidwell686 My greatest concern is the technicians who know these units well enough to restore them good as new aren’t as plentiful. Parts too may be another issue. These days everything has a shorter life and made to throw into the land fill. Cheap enough to replace as needed but still can’t compare.
I really regret not getting a Sansui years ago. Is yours all original? If so, amazing build quality.
