Hello, I cannot find the docking station and want to transfer my videos to PC. What is the best option?
Just ordered one on ebay that came with the dock. Cant wait for it!

As far as I know, there isn't an external microphone input on this camera, unless I had missed something

Do you know if you need a Sony handy cam station to transfer photos and videos to a different device.
I would recommend one, I didn't have one on hand so I couldn't try it out. The converter I used in this video lowered the potential quality of the final output, but it got the job done.

Pull the card out and stick it in a card reader and plug it in your ipad
can you tell us the name / link of the conversion box you got please?
USB 2.0 Video Conversion by VIDBOX, it's around $60. I'd recommend the dock but I don't have one to verify if the quality is better.
