Man i wish they would make this game in year 2 and change it up were your scouting best routes+ places to build roads and bulidings / grages / gas stations then half way in year 2 or 3 u start buliding the infrastructure to do what mudrunner and snowrunner do best and they can leave all this exploring stuff as side quests

I love this game! It needs improvements still but mostly just little things...

What is the best snowrunner dlc for an person who finished the base game.

You are missing many upgrades because many are tied to missions and expeditions. If you don't do them, you won't get the good stuff. The mission rewards system shows you that when you expand it.

I like the game. I think it's better than Snowrunner.
Snowrunner your in a disaster zone a place where they would call in the national guard to help out I don't find that game realistic terrian wise at all.
Expeditions are Great because you have to think, which means you have to learn how to use the base modules. Each expedition must be done one after the other, and all secondary missions can be done in one go without recall to HQ. You also have to learn how to plan stuff out.
Opening up a new zone in an area is difficult and requires multiple vehicles at once.
You have to learn how to use your anchors and how to configure and use base modules.
The terrain is more realistic than the snowrunner.
Both games are their own game. You can only compare superficially.

Hey man, do you have a discord or community discord where people can just truck and chill in chat? Would be cool for you to set one up? 😁

The map system feels like the pseudo open world games of the 2000's
To fix it it needs more of the snowrunner system.
It feels un-immersive having to get out to main hq and select your dream team and deploy and do something and just sell everything. It brings back memories with games that had a similar vibe to select some mission in a map.. do it and then revert back to menu.
In terms of physics.. it feels very harsh. Friction with bumpers is so big on everything. Also the powercreep from starting uphill is a drag. The ank with stock engine and tayga tyres is very crippled to start uphill. the most usable speed is highgear (not advisable in most places)

No, it doesn't. You just have to make sure your vehicles have all that you need to complete a map in one go.
This means you have to learn to plan, learn to use base modules, and learn to read the terrain.
All secondary missions can be done in one go.
Expeditions need to be done one at a time, though, but that's ok,. They help you learn the map.
This game is about being self sufficient
Showrunner is about hauling stuff around in impossible deep mud and snow in areas that are basically in a major disaster zone.

@@freequestI does for me. It's just a prefference. it's not gamebreaking or anything, but feels bad to not be able to switch regions on fly and having to reset map every start.
In mudrunner and spintires it was fine since you get one task and plan for it. In SR and expedition you have upgrades/exploring/hunting landmarks/ tasks/contracts/and expeditions on top. So you need an open world mechanics to be comfortable.
I know i can do various tasks and contracts within an expedition, or that i can stay to freeroam after an expedition.. or just enter freeroam as is.
My way to solve snowrunner was deploy many and many trucks to optimize coverage. Each contract/task would go one after the other and i could plan for optimum route. Even more complex to leave trailers at strategic points, you need to plan ahead around big contracts.
In SR hardmode i actually plan a lot more and use more trucks and trailers than on normal. I have less trucks available but i use them all. It's a challenge to find a use for the transtar but it has a dedicated fuel addon zipping around michigan, alaska and many other regions that helped me well. In some way the constraits of hardmode made me use trucks i did not even touch in my normal play.
In expeditions you start fresh each run. So this is my complaint.
I've 100% spintires, mudrunner, and snowrunner (except hardmode) in expeditions i'm at 35%arizona and 37% in carpathians
I mean i do love the franchise. I was hooked on offroad sim games from cabellas 4x4 (early 2000's game) and uaz racing 4x4 and other similar games and i can feel when expeditions in some areas is a downgrade from the previous games. I does feels a better sim than SR in the rock crawling mechanics.

I like it, but it should’ve been $30.
