LOL...man this is EXACTLY what happened to me at the start in Charlottesville last year which was my very first crit. I had to skip this year due to "crit drama" action in Athens. Cool intro!

Love the intro! Youre gonna have to tell me how you did that grayscale/ color highlight effect. Total bummer about that clip-in fail at the beginning 🤣 As for the crash, I would have probably gone to the pit... It's a gray area but you were impeded by it. I think 99% of the time the refs wont question you. But idk, some people I'm sure would say thats not fair but people do it all the time in. This course looks really fun and cool
Haha the edit was quite easy! I'll share through text. I actually just had the idea last minute after thinking "how can I make the video pop a little with the building music? 🤔". Honestly, in the moment I was so focused on the race, I also forgot that a free lap was a thing 🤣. Another lesson learned. My unattainable goal is to be as pro as you one day 😂. As for the course, you would enjoy this one. Also, judging from what I've Wackery say in his videos, I think he'd like this one too.
These things happen! You’ll get em’ next time brother! The most technical Crit on the east coast is probably the Clarendon Cup here in Arlington. Hope you are signed up for the Cat 1-4 35+, and the 45+ on Sunday June 4th Sir! That is super fast!👊😎🚴♀️🚴♀️
Appreciate the encouragement! I'll be training still haha. Always gotta be ready for when the stars align and things go well! I would love to do Clarendon Cup! But... My eldest has a recital 🙂. I'll try to do it next year. Racing against super fast guys like Ryan McKinney etc would be fun one day though!

I was in this race as an ACCC Appstate rider with the silver bike white helmet. Super fun course! Unfortunately I got dive bombed in the front group and got taken out with 5-6 laps to go.
All good! I was actually screaming and cheering for you during that race at the start/finish line haha. Looking forward to seeing you race more, Stephen!

Oh geez. Sorry that happened to you. You had to take a DNF cuz of no more free laps? Or did you ride it out?
