- Metal detecting started off with a great adventure for me so far this year with a short hunt where I found Civil War relics, Spanish Silver, and even a broken Civil War sword blade. Please join e and my friend Jim as crank on our metal detectors and search some old farm fields in the hope of uncovering some great historical artifacts.
About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure, metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my TH-cam "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

Good to see your on the hunt again, we couldn't do without you.
12:23 Tap for a spigot! Great find.
Nice job. Your starting the year off right. Love seeing those relics come out of the dirt.
They used sharps derringer's during the civil war that held 4 rounds of 22 rim fire bullets. The hammer actually has a revolving pin that fire's each of the 4 barrels separately, and was pretty accurate at 25 yards. My grandpa showed me the gun when I was a kid, and I inherited it in February when my dad passed away. My great great grandpa was in the civil war, he was given a posthumous confederate medal of honor in 1994, which is in a museum in east Tennessee. Look up James Keelan on google, it tells his amazing story of protecting a bridge in Strawberry Plains Tennessee where it was a miracle he didn't die. God bless.
Well that is neat!
That's an amazing story, Sarah, I'm glad that your ancestor was finally given the recognition for his deeds in serving his country. Most people in today's age can't wrap their minds around fighting for your town, county or state and so automatically conclude that everyone who fought in the civil war for the confederates did so for ideological reasons that revolved around slavery. I attribute it to a lack of proper education, proliferation of revisionist views of history, as well as the lack of understanding for the differing time, place and culture.
While it's amazing that such a relic has come into your possession I'm certain you would much rather it still be in the hands of your father today. The first anniversary of my father's passing was just this past December and while I inherited so much from him I'd much rather that he were still around to call those belongings his own.
What an amazing bit of information! I recently learned of the Confederate Medal of Honor while on a history binge, and to hear about a museum in my area having one in its collection is awesome to a history buff like me. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Sarah for giving us,,,,
Finally!! A new video!
Awesome finds looks like a good plot for the first digs of the year. I liked the Jhook, interesting first relic of 2021.
Looking forward to another sink hole dig soon when the grounds soften up.

Awesome first dig of the year Beau! I've been missing your Civil War relic hunts and here it turned out you did this one on my birthday. Even if the delivery was a day late it was a much appreciated gift. Happy new years to you and yours!
So good to see you back Chiggs ❤️
Hello from ND. Wow man i can smell the dirt with that clear camera. Love the adventures.
Yipeee Beau is back!!!!! Prosperous New year for you and Docter Lindsey Beau. Love from South Africa.
Well said!
Happy new year from Maine USA
That key thing at 12:45 looks like it could be a stopper of some sort. Maybe it was used to close a black powder pouch or something. Reason I think that is it has a larger ring towards the top and just a straight shank below it that is thinner which would go into the pouch or perhaps the mouth of a bottle and that ring would stop the liquid or whatever is inside from coming out.
Keg tap key. Liquids like beer, whisky or dry black powder keg
Still enjoyed as I'm watching again. Thanks for this adventure as well as almost 2k more in your playlists.
Much obliged. Broken sword made me think of the mayhem and horror of battle young men faced.
Happy new year Beau to you and the family, roll on all the gold coins in 2021.
Happy you didn't stop posting, I really enjoy watching, good luck this year chigg
Thanks Chigg! Wife got me one of your hats for X-Mas. And for the record, your Go-Pro batteries Died-ed.
Loved it....killing it with the old ammo!
Awesome first hunt of the year chigg. Looks like you just might have another great year of finds. Looked like a great place to hunt out in the open field of an old civil war camp/battle. Always nice to be able to get out an go finds the relics. Hope you had a wonderful new year celebration with your family. An may 2021 bring you many Wonderful finds throughout the year on all your hunts. As always safe an happy hunting/digging.😁👍👍
Great start to the new year.
Beautiful country! The key is to a grandfather clock!
Hi Chigg; I enjoyed this video!!! much better than some; lots of detector swingin', beepin; diggin' in the dirt. I been detectin' about 50+ years; I don't care what is found; I just enjoy the doin'; metal detectin' is a lot like life; "gotta dig thru a lot of 'garbage' to find the 'good stuff'"... ;-))... Most gold and jewlery I find detects in the 'iron' area; so, if those 'iron' signals are passed up, may be passing on something of value; or an interesting artifact... and then, I've had three inch rusty nails indicate as high value silver while 'in ground'; then 'out of ground', detect as what they are; rusty iron; soil moisture and minerals does 'funny things'; and then, while diggin' lots of 'junk', there are those 'pleasent surprises' ;-))...
Hiya, I hope you have a Happy New Year, and I hope it's better than last year. I hope you have a awesome blessed day.
Cya!
Its gonna be a good year Chig. We'll be there with ya.
Cool groundhogs drinking beer and pitching out there can might make a deal with them bring them a six pack for any relics they dig up lol
Happy New Year (; That Spanish was a great way to start the year. Want to thank you as I took some of your knowledge with me on first hunts of this year, I was hunting some woods in a new spot, I wasn't getting any hits with my Nox, so I turned on iron and found a spot eventually where it starting going off often, then I started finding coins and relics ( ; my first best finds of this year was a spill of a 2 cent and IHP, and found a couple more IHP's and buttons, a few buckles. Looking forward to your 2021 video's ( ; Stay safe my friend

Happy New Year Chigg & Mrs. Chigg! 🥳
Keep it up I love your work I would love to hunt with you some time
Great quick hunt
I hope you and Lindsey had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎈🎊🎆 🥳
I agree with Orvag thumb screw used to tighten up on something. That’s the definition of vague..🙋🏻♂️
At the 11:50 mark the small rivet looks as if it could have been on a holster, scabbard or knife sheath. Just a guess.
At 12:25 a "thumb" screw or bolt.
You have really got me interested in this hobby! I retire in 7 months and I ordered my AT Max today! Love your videos, I'm hooked!
“Harbinger,” love it! Always wanted to use it, but not brave enough😀
Good job on the first hunt for this year chig..I enjoy your videos all the time, cause you don't just find and tell what it is you explain the history and the purpose of the object .. that's teaching alot of us I enjoy that too. Good job again. And I enjoy my at max also. Keep it up and happy hunting....
Iam glad to see you again on Monday awesome day chigger happy new year to you and your family 👍🙏👍❤🌟
Happy New Year ,thank you for sharing great location,Cheers.
I think that key thing was a spicket valve, may have a hole in the shaft 90 degrees off 90 degrees on.
First relic find of 2021...a Union soldier "J" hook!! Awesome...Nappy New Year!
Nappy Sacky one at that!
Great start to the New Year Chigg. HH and be well
The key thing could be a tuner for a string instrument.
It looks like a banjo tuning key.
It reminded me of a snare drum key but have no clue if they were around way back when.
My grandmother had an old clock and the winder looked very similar.
I think u got it Brother
Interesting all the different possibilities! I thought possibly part of a barrel tap!
If that key is hollow.. look to a time lock key and music box key for inspiration.
Good Vid, Mr. Beau
Great job.
cool Video , HAPPY NEW YEAR MY FRIEND :-)
Dang, I hope this sets a good year for me too! Haha
I went out this afternoon and found a modern quarter and a bunch of trash...
Have a great 2021...nothing but gold coins and mini balls.
I think I found my first spencer casing detecting next to an old fort in Washington State!
I think the key thing is the winder for a case clock.
Looked like Chig has been watching some Chill Bill videos, smile and a blink blink...
Loved the video buddy. I just started relic hunting last year and your videos keep me going when I can’t go myself lol
Great start to the year. Stay safe Chiggerman.😁
Around 12:43 the key looks like the old metal roller skates that tighten it around your shoe
HNY fellow detctorists and aquachigger fans 👍🏻
If I were to guess, the key could be a tuning key off a banjo maybe?
Key thing. Looks like a barrel spout handle. Got a wing screw look to it.
Wooded MantleClock key two winders on face fancy gold gilding glass door that time Civil War!!!
The key may be a petcock handle for a tractor fuel system
yeah that was my first thought as well
Just throwing this out there. The key gadget could it be part of a wagon. I was thinking the horse and driving area. Maybe for a covered wagon key to lift the cover up and down. It a key for a tap.
the "key " probably has machine threads on the shank , so a thumb screw from something.
The key a clock key used to wind an 8 day clock.
Congratulation my fried, happy 2021👍
AND THE LEARNING CURVE CONTINUES HAPPY NEW YEAR .
*Oh my nenith, I'm super late Chigg by the way I love good sqeakers*
Looks like a clock key to me. Great video, keep up the good work.
Happy New Year Mr. Beau!!!
some ones got to dig it up just well be you.
Hey Chigg happy new year to y’all GOD BLESS y’all Amen 🙏
At the risk of a bad Dr. Strange Love pun, 'Not More, Moar'!🤣
happy new year !!!!
Happy New Year Chigg! Ive been waiting all week for a new video!
Your mystery object that you thought was a key could be a part of a tap 😀
The key looks like a shackle key...like for leg irons or wrist shackles...
Happy New Year!
Happy New year's. Keep the great work coming.
2021 will make up for how disappointing that 2020 turned out to be. I think the key is a flat door knob, we had one similar to it on our parlor room door in my sisters old house from the 1800s.
Happy new year mate from uk
Could that have been a large tuning peg?? That went on a instrument?
Great start , man
12:43 the "key" looks like a grub or a set screw. Maybe a piece of farm equipment rattled loose?
Happy new year Chigg. Some great finds.
Better video, digg it,
Wow, Jan. 2 and no snow like us. We still have about 4-5 inches today (Jan.5).
I have never seen a “j” hook like that before, cool.
Thanks for showing us what your settings are. Anything a person can do to get a better signal and clue as to what things are underneath, the better.
I use the pin point function ALL the time. I find it very helpful.
Nice muck boots by the way.
Wow! A Reale! Good for you! 😃
Looks like a mantle clock winder key? Or a key to a trunk or cabinet?
