The Rifle Range site was originally part of a bigger graveyard. Exhumation of old graves was rumored not done 'properly' ie some remnants of bones were left behind & allegedly there was a mass grave of WW2 era disturbed before rapid development began. This had caused some problems for the site as some of the original 'residents' were disturbed & not ceremonially sent off accordingly (strictly, no personal relics like bones are to be left behind). The same suicide cases for the Penang Bridge built some 20 years later after the Rifle Range although it has nothing to do with grave exhumation. My friend told me he had seen floating balls of ghost fires at night among the graves opposite his Rifle Range unit facing the huge graveyard. These are not fire flies! Still, standing in Rifle Range air wells which only receive sunlight at mid day is as 'cold' a rendezvous as one can sense.
