In today Video I am taking you to visit the Tomb of Mary in Jerusalem which is located at the slop of the Mount of Olives and it is within the Church of the Assumption Jerusalem.
In Christian belief, death is our punishment for the original sin. Regarding Mary, the mother of Jesus, God is believed to have shielded here from the stain of original sin at the time of her own conception; moreover Mary remained a virgin throughout her life. As such, Mary was the first among all human beings to experience resurrection.
Catholics believe that Mary was taken up body and soul into heaven while she slept at the site that is now the basement of the Dormition Abbey on Mount Zion. The Eastern Orthodox including the Greek Church claim that Mary died in her sleep (the Dormition of the Theotokos), buried and only then experienced resurrection from the tomb.
Today, the Church over the Tomb of Virgin Mary in Jerusalem, which was built back in the 14th century by the Franciscans, is controlled by the Greek Orthodox Church and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Now let's enter the Church of the Tomb of Mary mother of Jesus in Jerusalem.
While the entrance gate dates back to the Crusaders, the three stairs in front of the entrance are new in order to prevent against flood water.47 steps lead to the depths of the cave but there are also important graves halfway down. Here to the right at this chapel, are the traditional graves of Marry's parents Anne and Joachim -- here to the right is the tomb of Anne and here is the tome of Joachim. Lower down on the left hand side, is the tomb of Joseph the Carpenter of Nazareth, Jesus' adoptive father and Mary's husband.
The Underground hall is shaped like a Cross but in now temporary T shape as the area opposite the stairs is blocked off because of flood damage.
To the right, there is the chapel housing Mary's Tomb. We are now entering the chapel to see and touch the Tomb of the Virgin Mary -- the burial place Mary mother Jesus. The Glass plates surround the tomb of Mary in order to prevent pilgrims from taking mementoes and here above the Tomb of Mary, is an opening in the ceiling symbolizing Mary ascent to heaven.
During the years the Moslems ruled Jerusalem, they built a prayer nice (Mihrab) in the cave facing East to Mecca and it is here to the left of the Tomb of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Behind Mary's Tomb, further along the cave, there is a painting of the Holy Mother and her son, to which Christians attribute special powers.
On the western side there is a Coptic altar.
Every year on August 15, while Christians all over the world celebrate the Assumption of Mary, a big ceremony is taking place here at the Mary Tomb in Jerusalem -- the actual burial place Mary mother Jesus...both by the Catholic and the Orthodox ......... for each of them I have a separate video.

Before I became Catholic i was Methodist. We did have a prayer asking Mary to go on our behalf but since becoming Catholic there is one prayer and it is the same. Asking Mother Mary to pray for us now and at the hour of our death. We worship Jesus. The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is our only Savior. Through him we all our sins are forgiven and only through him are we to get to Heaven to be with God the Father.

A human baby gets it's DNA from the mix of his father and mother's DNA, right? But in Jesus' case, he has no human father, only a mother. So his unique origin means that all of his human DNA must have come from Mary. So there was no change to the DNA - only copies of Mary's DNA in Christ's cells . seand curtis no dought she did all that and she is blessed mother but the fact of the matter in this case is that she is and truly in need of a savior just like you and me and only through the precious blood of our lord Jesus Christ can anyone go to the father he is our only mediator who can intersect for us sinners. Only by the blood of the lamb do we have forgiveness through his death on the cross and we who believe in him truly will have eternal life by grace of God through Christ Jesus only. If Mary is the “mother of god” as you put it, and Jesus indeed got all of his genes from his mother... then by that logic Mary is more powerful and Devine than Jesus as she not only gave birth to him, carried him in womb for 9 months and gave her dna to him? So therefore by that logic Mary should be the one you worship more so than Jesus.
And if Jesus is the son of God because he was conceived without a father and “the Holy Spirit” came within Mary... then by that logic Adam is even more special seeing as God literally created Adam out of clay and breathed life into him.
If Jesus is God and The Holy Spirit is God and God is also God, how come Jesus states that only the father knows about the true nature of the day of judgement? Being God wouldn’t Jesus also know what God himself knows?
If Jesus was God, and we all agree on one thing, God is not vague or beats around the bush about his commands, how come Jesus never once unequivocally stated “I am God, worship me and non other” ANYWHERE in any scripture.

Mary was laid on Her bed by Herself in the house where She lived with the beloved disciple John because She knew Her time to be reunited with Her Son is at hand. She assured John not to be sad because he was in tears for seeing Mary preparing everything. She assigned Him that no one should touch Her body. John went to the garden, brought olive branches and flowers, spread them around Her bed and all over the room when Her body was laid. Her soul left Her body and experienced heaven for 3 days. Her body was kept incorrupt while a beautiful smell came out of it. So Mary didn't die, She was just being in an ecstatic state that the visionaries experience. John was sitting in the room, crying and heartbroken all the time until he fell asleep. In the 3rd day, the angels came down and took Mary's body after opening the roof, to be reunited with Her soul in heaven, Her Son received Her in glory and jubilation. John the disciple was given the grace to witness Mary's ascension after he felt the wind blowing that caused him to wake up, He saw the roof opened, ran to the terrace outside and saw the ascension and the reunion with Jesus. John was given this grace because of his failthfulness to Her and Her Son and because he was plunged into sadness and agony for losing the Mother of God. When he witnessed Her glorified ascension and Her reunion with Her Son, John's agony and sadness turned to jubilation.
