When I was pregnant with my daughter, I use to suffer from both panic and anxiety attacks. I use to play this song every day and cry because listening to this song gave me some sort of assurance that I was going to be okay and that happy days were somewhere waiting for me once my baby was born. Just saying racism was alive and well in the 70’s. 😞 This little white girl loved this music and still does. My dad bought the album and we got plenty of looks but at the time I just couldn’t understand or even imagine why this great music would be in the back of the store where no one could find it. Remembering the innocence of that time and then realizing what a cruel world it could be. This song takes me back to that time of innocence. I love it so much.
