Heather, the extensions add so much volume to your hair, you look pretty wearing them! But then again you also look pretty without them. You dont need anything like make-up or hair extensions to be beautiful, your gorgeous no matter what!
You being real is one of the reasons, I love you!! Once you figured it out, I really liked your curls. The extensions looked beautiful. I liked it better when you clipped it higher. I would think the 4 clip would be used in back in crown area. Thank you for showing us. ❤❤

Heather, your hair came out so beautiful. You have given me hope. I have the same hair that doesn't take a curl. I also have thin - fine hair and it appears like I have no hair. I tought about getting those hair extensions but always feared that it would slide right off. The way you tease your hair and add hair spray, I believe i can also use extensions. If only I had enough time to do my hair, I would rather sleep more than getting up to early to do something productive to my hair. 😂 plus I don’t have patience, I dry my hair in the wind or the heat from my car. Not sure if I am lazy, or too busy….

Your hair is beautiful with curls!!
clip them much higher so you get some volume at the top and not just weight at the bottom ..you only need enough of your own hair to cover the track and the blend will be much better the color is perfect

I totally understand about keeping curls . I have very fine hair and I have tried everything. At my daughter's wedding I had to put loads of hair spray just to keep curls in for just for about 90 minutes; when the ceremony was over, after 75 minutes, my curls were going flat and my hair was sticky from all the hair spray. From watching your video I might just get hair extensions with curls . Love your videos

I still can’t believe I was doing dry shampoo wrong for so long and couldn’t figure out why it didn’t work for me . I had a head full of all that and not just the roots . Made my hair so gritty every time and wondered why people liked that feeling 😂😂😂😂. Thanks for showing that part too. I appreciate you ❣️

Try the Lange 1” ceramic curling wand. I have straight baby fine hair and I get a curl that lasts until I wash it out. I do not need to use hair products but with 2 day dirty hair and some dry shampoo!, the results are fabulous! I hope this helps. 😊 btw I am in no way affiliated with Lange and their products.

You can cut the extensions. Also the four clip is for your back crown area. You could also cut them in half if you only want 2 clips (my good friend owns a salon & I would do the front desk for her). I think you did a great job. Love your videos ❤️

That's the good thing about the clips you out them where you feel comfortable. My daughter cuts them in half as well, We also back some underneath the hair it seems to last longer the on top of the hair, if that makes sense. You look marvellous ❤

This made me feel so much better, knowing I’m not the only one on the struggle bus. I got extensions off Amazon too, but they were one piece with a lot of clips. I never could get them in without my hair being bumpy. They were too big for my head I guess. I did wear them several times in a ponytail though. We won’t discuss my first several attempts at wigs 😂 Maybe if I hadn’t teased and used cans of aqua net I wouldn’t need wigs and extensions 🤔

You might want to take a small strand of the extensions and see if you can straighten it with the flat iron on a low setting so it will match your natural hair. That might be a better way to go. My hair won't hold a curl either and I've tried everything. Loved the safety pin earrings. I got those at temu and I also got the zipper ones which are super cute. It's good you have the patience to try to figure things out, I very rarely do. I would have just packed it up and sent it back. It was lots of fun to watch though. You definitely keep me entertained.

You did great with the extensions!! The four clip does go in the back, and the other pieces on the sides.Usually they come with a few one or two clip pieces to add in in between the layers to help them blend. Love your videos!!

I gifted myself an airwrap 2. I used before wedding shower today. I sprayed with hair spray...lots of it. My hair fell before I could drive 9 miles to shower. I live in Augusta, GA and it is going to rain tomorrow (so high humidity and in 70's today. It is December 9th, 2023).
I could return Dyson because i puchased from Amazon, but it does make my hair so shiny, and it is in great condition. I have fine, very straight hair. I do not believe any product keeps curls in for 2or 3 days unless these ladies have some natural curl to their hair

Don't spend the money on a Dyson when you can buy the Shark for more then half the price and the Shark has the cool shot, and now Conair has come out with one that is even less money and it is suppose to be really good. I have the Shark and I also have straight hair. I have thick hair and that might be the difference . My hair will last the day but not for days. Most women that the curls last for days. Already have very thick and wavy hair.

I couldnt stop laughing when you sprayed your hair and the table! I love it! You look like Farrah! I have fine blonde hair and I could use an entire can of hair spray and wouldnt keep a curl! I have been a "towhead" my entire life too. Now that I am older mine started getting dark and I hate it. My darker hair looks oily to me. When my hair was light it would look dark when oily. So now I dye it too keep that darker color out. Following and liking your moms page now.

I have thick straight red hair that will not curl even a perm I the 80s fell out by the time I got home from the salon. I wear my long hair straight. I use the straighteners once a week and it stays straight.
The color was perfect and they really looked great on you! Have you worn them since the video. The clip area looked much better than the set I bought at Sally B.. My hair is fine too. and they showed the clips a bit. I tried and got discouraged. I so want to try the type you have.

I had the Dyson Airwrap and never had to twist or turn the wand to get curl. The hair automatically wrapped around the barrels on its own. I have pretty fine hair, but I still had to curl it in small sections. I couldn't use bigger chunks of hair. And even though I have wave to my hair, the curls didn't hold well. I even bought the longer barrels in all sizes and had the same outcome. Either way, it was a lot of work, and I ended up selling it.

There are lots of products you can buy to prep your hair before curling. If you watch any of the style tutorials from Kenra professional you’ll see that A LOT of prep work goes into pre-styling. So don’t think you’re weird because your hair falls flat! Hair is work and we all struggle. I mean… you ARE totally weird but not because of your hair. 😂
Starting from all over damp and pinning your hair up after you curl will definitely help. You know when you braid or put curlers in your hair and let it dry like that and your hair is super kinky when you take it out and you have to wash it because it looks like a puff of hot frizzy garbage? Me too. 😂
It’s because hydrogen bonds form when your hair dries and you hair will temporarily take the shape of the braid or the curl. That’s how Nellie Olsen got her famous ringlets back in the day! Perms work in a similar way except they are done with chemicals instead of water.
Anyway… styling from damp to dry will help your curls stay until you break the hydrogen bond by washing or re-wetting your hair. I’m assuming that’s Dysons’ secret and why so many are saying their curls last until they wash their hair.
As for your extensions…. The beauty of clip ins is that they’re temporary and there are no rules! I’m a hairdresser and a certified extensionist. I’ve used clip-in extensions every way possible including backwards and upside down. Typically the widest one goes across the widest part of your head where you want the most coverage, the 3-clip one will go underneath that one and the two-clip ones are for the sides. If you install the widest one first you can get a better sense of where you want to place the side ones. You can always mix and match lengths rather than cutting them because cutting them can be total gong show. Trust me on that. 😂

@@heatherotis6512 You’re so welcome! I thought of another tip for you. You know that texture powder stuff that comes in a little shaker? It’s a dream for holding extensions in. You can still back comb if you wanna but you probably won’t need to because it does the work for ya. Literally every brand I’ve tried is exactly the same, so I use the “Got 2 B” brand because it’s dirt cheap. P.S. I put tape over half the holes because way too much comes out.

I just love you!!! That first clip would have absolutely been me😂 I think that gave you a beautiful curl and volume even after the 2 hours. I don't have a Dyson because my hair got curly with age (so weird), but what I've seen in Dyson videos is that you do need to do very small pieces for it to really work well. I think maybe with a bit more time or a little higher heat you might have better luck keeping the curl longer

You are so welcome. It works best on damp hair…. Next time I use it I will have my hair damp before I start so I don’t have to spray each time and risk getting the curls wet. Plus I will use a higher heat setting….. good luck to you with it!

I lost more than half of my hair due to tape in extensions. I use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner, add in soap box Oh My Growth drops in my conditioner, Rogaine after the shower, prenatal vitamins and hair skin nails vitamins. I have lots of new growth (looks like a porcupine) I wear a lot of ponytail extensions because mine is now thinner than yours. It’s traumatic to loose hair,
My daughter and one of my granddaughters' hair won't hold a curl. They've both had a perm at a hair shop, and it didn't stay in a month.
