Fight between Saruman and Gandalf in Lord of The Rings The Battle for Middle Earth II: The Rise of the Witch-King - Edain Mod. #edainmod #bfme2 #rotwk #vs #comparison #lotr #bfmereforged
Definitely think Saruman is underpowered in game. Edain Mod helps quite a bit, but his base powers should include at least on additional powerful spell. Or his final spell should be way more powerful and more of a AOE, similar to Gandalf’s word of power. Can’t be a balancing issue because Gandalf is way over powered, along with the MOTW faction, compared to others. Given Isengard has one of the lowest factions of hero’s in base game, he should really be more powerful
0:30 On the count of three cast your charm to disarm your opponent only, to disarm we don't want any accidents here one.. two.. 0:38 Saruman: Everte statum!
Depend on lvl. first was lvl 1 second 2 was lvl 10 with Gandalf and Saruman pasives main ability. Gandalf goes white form, Saruman gets key of orthanc.
Not in this game, Saruman is more "tactic" with army buffs and good take kontrol spells, during gandalf is pure power creep. He can one shot almost anyone with his lvl 10 ability
@@WyimaginowanyRzuRzel Grey gandalf is weaker, white is stronger, becuse saruman go grey in two towers. And movies sucks, in books you have much more informations.
The only thing I really personally don't like about BFME is how weak Saruman is! Even Gandalf the grey beats him! He should either start powerful and stagnate or start normal and become really powerful as he levels up.
It's a balancing issue. It also doesn't make sense that rohan peasants are stronger than orcs, lore wise. Orcs, even the regular meat fodders, are still mutated elves by origin and are profesional killers with expert combat training, literally breeded for the purpose of battle. Only trained and well armed human soldiers should be able to compete against them. Untrained, barely armed and elderly peasants should die to orcs. But for the sake of balance, Rohan units must beat orcs, just like Saruman must lose to Gandalf. Isengard's units are too strong, they NEED to have weak heroes, otherwise there would be no counter to this faction.
@@mitromney Yeah heroes were busted, especially custom ones in bfme2, spear throw ability can one shot any hero while other aoe abilites can change the outcome of the battle
@@mitromney Not true, orcs are like beasts, they're not bred for combat exactly, they live for combat but are still much smaller than men, Rohirrim and even peasants are descended from Beornings, they were very tall and strong, they could easily beat orcs in combat, orcs are the size of dwarves but they're not as stout as dwarves, uruk hais are almost man-height but still not as big and strong, in the books orcs act like pirañas, or ants, they're not strong in single combat safe for a few orc chieftains, and they're very cowardly, they're only strong with good leadership and strength in numbers, again, much like ants.
Its seems like Sarumans Wizard blast is stronger...The player used Gandalfs word of power to soon. I doesn't do much damage to heroes. It is ment for large armies. Gandalf would of won if the player used the powers at the right time. But its amazing that Saruman can still win once even though he has less attack abilities than Gandalf. He only has fireball and thunderbolt besides wizard blast. Gandalf has Istari light, word of power and lightning sword.
Saruman actually has great harass. His thunderbolt sports decievingly short cooldown and does about third of heroes health. If his player used it as a go-to instead of fireball (which is a utility tool of Saruman, funnily enough), and used fireball to interrupt - he would win way more. You are correct about Gandalfs WOP though.
Does Gandalf automatically change to "white" as he lvl up? That would be cool. But these 2 should be exactly the same power level at level 10, I think.
In BFME 1, you have to spend your evenstar-points you get throughout the campaign to buy "the white" upgrade. So you can buy it whenever you want, but it gives him a huge power boost + recharge time of spells is cut in half + unlocks his ability to ride a horse (Shadowfax). Pretty worth it.
He was stronger than Gandalf the Grey, but when Gandalf comes back as Gandalf the White, the Valar let him come back with more of his power. Basically all the Wizards came to Middle Earth with a handicap and when Gandalf pulled a Jesus, he came back with less of a handicap
@@user-qk5bc3fj6g not sure if that’s true, if I remember correctly Gandalf when he was still going by the name of Olorin was apprehensive and uneasy about coming to Middle Earth because he was afraid of Sauron.

And Saruman somewhat makes up for it by being maybe second or third strongest ring hero (tied or possibly slightly weaker than dark Galadriel)

Only in BFME 2, BFME 1 Saruman doens't have thunderbolt. His blast is also bugged, weaker and has a smaller effective range.

In BFME 1 there's a power that does it. Same for Aragorn, there's an in game power that gives him Anduril.
@Welther47 In BFME2 Gandalf auto goes to Gandalf the White when you get the horse ability

Yes,when he hits lvl 5.
Technically sauroman is stronger than Gandalf
Саруман сильнее. Он армию качает, а гендальф просто хорош против лажевой пехоты и героев.

You are using one of them tho and you literally do nothing...
