Things to do with the bread crust if you don't want to waste it. Toss with some olive oil and a splash of vinegar, salt and pepper, parmesan cheese and or pecorino cheese and bake till toasty and you have croutons. Add in a few slices of bread so it isn't all crust. Make a sweet bread pudding by making a simple custard with eggs, milk, cream and butter with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and bake. Freeze the crust and add it to your next batch of stuffing. Dry it and blend it with some dried herbs and cheese and make chicken parmesan. Feed it to the ducks or smear some peanut butter on it and use it for a treat for your dog. I just don't like to waste food. I compost anything I can and try to use everything I can within reason.
