Little fun fact: Back when this game released, a lot of the big reviewers didn't particular care for the KOF music that much. Never really gave music that much of a score. Even back then, I felt the reviewers really were out of touch when it came to this. KOF had stuff so good (especially on their red book audio Arranged versions) I literally played them in the car.

that's the voice of Hironobu "BROTHER-HIGE" Inagaki, he's also a composer (on this OST he did the Fatal Fury team theme and Saisyu's theme, also did Big Shot from Fatal Fury 3 and the ENTIRETY of Last Blade 1) and he's also the voice in the KOF 96-98 intros (and maybe the Real Bout Special announcer)
Love this track. I love all the KoF music and Neo-Geo music in general. I even put Neo-Geo music up there with the high standards of Yuzo Koshiro - believe me I'm an massive Koshiro fanboy :)

It's funny how this is the Iori theme and features a great saxophone and even an amazing piano solo, but the bass, which is Yagami's instrument, is forgotten in the background.

1995 was a great year.We moved from Megadrive and Snes to Playstation and Saturn,arcades were strong with games like this and Tekken,no mobile phones,no internet and much socialising with school friends at each others homes and played sports outside.Also buying videogame magazines to read the news. The reason why Eiji hasn't appeared much after '95 is because he's training in far-off areas to get revenge on Iori after he attacked both him and Billy under the influence of The Riot of the Blood in their team ending. The only reason he came back in XI was to join the Anti-Kyokugen team with Malin and Kasumi since they all hate Kyokugen.
The memories of playing this game and every other KOF game on the PS1/PS2 emulators on the school laptops back in 2016, this one is the most nostalgic to me because I used to whoop the shit out of everybody (except one guy) with this blasting through the speakers during lunch time 😂

The memories of playing this game and every other KOF game on the PS1/PS2 emulators on the school laptops back in 2016, this one is the most nostalgic to me because I used to whoop the shit out of everybody (except one guy) with this blasting through the speakers during lunch time 😂
