Perfect description. Thought this was going to be a hassle. Took me 10 minutes to fix. And knowing where the clips were, all 9 came free without any breakage. Thanks so much!
Your instructions were extremely helpful. Adding the location of all the clips was great and enabled me to remove the part without breaking a single clip. Thank you very much
Ok so how do I find the latch for the bottom lid the one that you can sit on, that one lifts up also. But mine is missing the lever that you use to lift it up. It's the one under the 3 cup holder. That one can lock with the key I need that latch. Thanks
mine broke off last year and never replaced it because had to buy the whole top. but found the latch replacement on amazon for $9.98 so bought one now just have to wait for it in the mai. Thanks for the video.
Thanks again!! I finally had a warm enough day here to do this. It went flawlessly. One piece of advice, don't get your face too close to the plastic trim piece you are removing, even the corners are sharp.....I had my cheek too close to the top corner and when the entire trim piece came out, it nicked my cheek enough to bleed--my bad!!
Thank you for this. Both my latches are broken. Got my upper one replaced. THANK YOU. Now any ideas on where to buy the bottom latch for the lower compartment that locks?
Thanks for the video. I just bought a used 2013 Silverado that came equipped with a broken latch. I undid the four screws but couldn't figure out how to get the plastic piece off. Felt like there was a hidden screw somewhere.
Thanks for the easy to follow video. Job was easy. Very frustrating that GM designed a "latch" that is meant to bend plastic to function. Of course the thing broke!
Do you guys know we're I can find the plastic trim bottom panel....or what is the correct name for it...your calling it trim panel but can find it ...can any one link me to it please
There are 2 plastic panels one with a combo of Phillip screws and latch clips and one with only Phillip screws. Let us know if this answered your question.
Hi ebaysnipa, so the majority of the jump seats we work on will need to have both the driver and passenger seats removed since they will use the same bolts to hold them down.
OK, I am ready to order a new latch for the upper console lid. What information do you need besides 2007 Silverado 2500HD (new style) Extended Cab; 6L gas? Do you need a VIN# too? What is the cost of the latch and shipping to NY state 13856?
Need info or part # for lower latch. The latch for the lower storage unit is missing. Key lock is there, but, the latch it hooks onto is missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :)
Good Video Fellas as my 2009 latch is toast too! Off topic, but I'm gonna be "that guy" and no disrespect Hunter, but Brian's beard is epic, I love it, and I'm jealous! Back on topic, what advice can you fellas give as to the preventing breakage of the "girly" plastic and how not to go there?
Hi Rodney thanks for reaching out, just curious do you happen to have a Silverado, Suburban or which specific model you do have to better help you out?

I need to replace both the upper latch and the lower latch on my truck. Do you carry both of them?
Hey Richard! No unfortunately we only carry one of them.
