    Whenever I listen Dzongsar Jamyang my eyes are filled with tears of joy and gratitude, and I get goose bumps. I felt the same when I first saw a picture of his grandfather. My root guru said I must have some karmic link with them. I've never met Dzongsar Jamyang in person nor have I gone physically to any of his teachings. I wish someday he would visit this remote island where I live.

      @@shantipadme8781 I live in Sardinia, the island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. We are Italians although with a different culture overall. We are also few people, only 1.600.000 people in the whole island. However we do get a lot of tourists and people all over Europe who come to visit... some of them even decide to stay for good because it is magical and very peaceful ... only maybe to remote to get Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Einpoché

      I have always had the same experience and this maybe due to little bit of merit that we have accumulated in our past lives - and i also haven’t met DJKR in person. I really hope you and I fulfill our aspirations ☺️

    These teachings were great, as usual! Thank you Rinpoche for your generosity. Your geniuness prevades. (Did you say "adnoid"? Mine were removed!) I have quite a few relationships with flies. One guy lived in my house for months and we had Christmas together. I have rescued a few from my drink and brought them back to life as I watched them clean their eyes before flying away! I love flies.

    An inspiring teaching for one who is now 66. The questions arise at this age and Rinpoche your teaching answered all, even answers to questions I didn't think to ask.🙏

      I am in your age group and I find that learning very fast is not unusual at our age. It is almost like remembering a lot of truth that has been filed away waiting for the right time for us to revisit and recall. Wisdom is waiting for us to turn our attention to it in relative peace. Best wishes.

    How is your upcoming movie about the Buddha getting along that you are considering? Perhaps you can add the scene of the young people discussing North Korea/Internet challenges in that movie, too, to spice it up with contemporary scenarios?...
    Also, did you approach yet Phillip Glass to write the score? Richard Gere in consolation?
    Or, is all that still sitting on your speculative table? Yes, the train shot in the movie you referenced was spectacular...yet, you will definitely need to up your director skills in a Buddha movie, eh?...fashionable gold scarf, by the way...

    Hello rinpochela, it is interesting how you say that substances like Ayahuasca bring your mind closer to death and your bipolar translators (6th senses) start to disappear. My sister has a bipolar disorder, been in and out of the hospital a couple of times. Every time she has her relapse, her delusion also appears. Her relapse usually happens due to her use of substances like Ayahuasca and eboga. After use of such substances, she starts having hallucinations and eventually it leads to her episode relapse. Just wondering, why if such substances bring someone closer to death, my sister is not more in control of her bipolar after consumption, but she gets into relapse.

    Should a suicidal mind take hallucinogenic? Might it simulate the mind-body separation they are wishing through death, and maybe bring insight for them regardless what they decide?

    • @traceler
      @traceler 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don" know, there is not enough research other than in depression ( after screening out many people with other mental discomfort , like the works done in John Hopkins University, etc ). My concern is that suicide will not end consciousness or the mind and make things a lot more difficult and painful for long........ time. Many suicidal people feel regret after killing themselves and other say so after a failed attempt. So sad that one have to take hallucinogenics alone because of lack of people qualified to support one , so it is scary and painful more the times and is not free of risks.

    • @francesnance9110
      @francesnance9110 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have microdosed mushrooms when I was depressed. It gave me the perspective that life is precious, and I was able to get out of myself, to see the truth - that life is beautiful, and my little problems were just my own mental events. This was my experience and I cannot speak for anyone else. As a buddhist, is it not easy to admit feelings of despair. But, in my case, I was able to recognize that my own mental events were the cause. And, I kept pushing forward with mind training and prayers to Guru Rinpoche. And, I agree with @traceler that the one who take's their life often feel regret, and I've heard, have to relive similar issues in the next life due to the unfolding of karma.

    one thing I think Rinpoche says about physicists is a misunderstanding.
    When they say 'time is relative' they actually believe time exists as a reified substance of which the universe is composed. from Buddhist reasoning it is absurd, but they reify equations which are maya.

    • @lobzangtenzin8890
      @lobzangtenzin8890 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think you’re misunderstood… When scientists claim time is relative, and Rinpoche in my opinion was referring to the relative truth and there was no indication of him stating scientist claiming time being an illusion.
      Long story short, kyabje Rinpoche was only referring to scientist from certain perspectives (such as people who believes in science more than the actual truth). It was not a Birds-Eye view perspective, if you know what I mean….

    • @Purwapada
      @Purwapada 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1
