DAWG THE MATCHING OF THE ARTSTYLES HAD ME SHOCKED. The pixel art with the Investigations games had me FLOORED. And as a Turnip Boy enjoyer, I RECOMMEND TURNIP BOY ROBS A BANK!
Once again saying how amazing all the art looks😭😭💕💕. Will you be getting the HD port of DK Country Returns?👀 My mom and I played that one together on the Wii last year or maybe the one before and managed to 100% it! Which was really hard but very fun and satisfying! Once again, great video and great art!❤️
Thank you!! I appreciate you so so much 🥺🥺 My friend (the one who bought me Tropical Freeze) actually owns Returns on the Wii and used to play it with her siblings all the time, so we are going to go through it together! And then I can finally complete the DKC collection 🥳
@@cannypie0 I'll send your friend my sympathy as the person who had to handle those levels too LMAOO🤣. To be fair though it's by far the easiest way to do it both for controls *and* you don't lose 2 lives each time you die haha
@ LOL yea I agree it’s too much with two people controlling. I’m more than happy to let her take the lead on those. I’ll do the minecart levels instead, those are my favorites!
6:38 "i could not predict the chokehold this duology would have on me." exactly how i felt after playing TGAAC. i ended up playing it in the first place bc i was getting into the Ace Attorney franchise proper and i found a discounted bundle on the switch eshop that came with the phoenix wright trilogy and the Great Ace Attorney chronicles. i had originally avoided it when it was first revealed bc i had wanted to get into ace attorney back then but the duology didnt have the usual cast of characters i wanted to finally get acquainted with (phoenix, maya etc.) but when i found the bundle i decided to be more open-minded and god it was such a good choice. took me like a month or two to finish it and it was a great month. came out of it a changed man
I had almost the exact same experience! I had TGAA on switch (from that bundle) and wanted to go through all the Phoenix, Edgeworth, and Apollo games first. But my friend kept urging me to play it and I am so glad she did cause WOW what an awesome duology. Best purchase I've ever made. Now I recommend TGAA to everyone I see lol
Respect for all the different art styles, that's quite an amount of work but also something very fun to do. I wonder what you would have drawn yourself as if you finished Clash: Artifacts of Chaos in 2024. That game has hardly any humans, but is instead full of odd monster creatures that some people have compared to something from The Dark Crystal or something similar. There's some other games with striking art styles that are worth looking into, like Zet Zillions, Cookie Cutter, BLUD, The Midnight Walk, PRIM, Charlie Murder and/or The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile, Decline's Drops, Magenta Horizon & Ruffy and the Riverside. All striking and lovely stuff. Out of these names, curious which once catch your attention the most. WIsh you many good experiences in the new year, be they for games, art or outside of them.
@@jurtheorc8117 Thanks so much for the recommendations! This is an awesome list. I don’t think I’ve heard of any of those games, so I’d love to check them out! The Midnight Walk caught my attention as it seems like a very spooky game just from the title alone. It would be so fun to draw myself as a weird creature for one of these games, I’d really have some creative freedom. Maybe it’ll make it into next year’s list… we’ll see what 2025 holds!! I appreciate the comment and wishing you the best in the new year!!
@@cannypie0 You're most welcome! I hope that whenever time and interest line up for checking out these games, you'll have a lot of fun. Right on! The Midnight Walk is made with physical models and stopmotion and the like. Just like Judero, Papetura (of which the dev is working on a new paper-made game), Harold Halibut and i believe the upcoming Phonopolis. Looks to be something wonderous. The studio that's making it, Moonhood, is previously known as Zoink! and had games like Flipping Death, Zombie Vikings, Fe and Lost in Random. All of them have that striking art style, though Lost in Random is the one where they get more serious with their tales. Indeed! It's worth to take a look at the mainline Zeno Clash games too, which Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is a prequel to. Inspiration for many more bizarre creatures. That series takes a lot of inspiration from medieval paintings, like the Drolatic Dreams of Pantagruel and the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, as well as lesser-known prehistoric animals. Clash: AoC has more human/animal creatures, like - a yellow toad with a nose ring in a barrel that tries to hit you with a frying pan, -a wretched little bird man that sounds like an insecure Yoda trying to sound impressive, - a milky blue pale cat/bat lady with long ears tied together with one of her braids and a third arm growing out of the elbow of her right arm, - a very r o u n d cannibalistic turkey man with big mushroom orange caps growing over his head and shoulder. - a masked man with giraffe pattern on his skin that tied his legs and one arm together, folded up, and has inserted his legs into weird stilts to replace his lower legs. He walks backwards on them, for he believes everything needs to be inverted. Zeno Clash 2 also has a short plump capybara man named Eeni. Glad the comment is of interest, and thank you for those wishes! Likewise right back at you.

@cannypie0 Ooooo nice! I hope you enjoy it! It was super fun on multiplayer but also some of the levels were HARD 🤣 like the barrel rocket ones
