3 Days On An Active Volcano, Mt. RINJANI

- Mt Rinjani, Indonesia's 2nd highest volcano standing a whopping 3726m above sea level! We decided it had been too long since we took on a big challenge like this one we we got our hiking boots on, packed a small bag and set off to climb this beast of a volcano. we went on a 3 day, 2 night hiking package and what an adventure this was!
We can both agree that this was the hardest hiking we have ever done, but we wouldn't change a thing! the views were amazing, our camp was great and along with a great group of people we had the best 3 days in these mountains!

Thank you for the memories. I was there in 2018 just managed to escape the volcanic eruption with my life. Many people including myself have underestimated the challenges of Mt Rinjani . Congratulations !! You both make it. I hope you go to the Giles to recover. Good luck to your future adventures which I will follow closely 👍
Oh wow that must have been so scary for you. Glad to hear you are safe and well. It is a hike that no fully prepares you for or tells you how physically challenging it will be but we are so proud that we can say we have done it and loved it 🙌🏻

Ah shit I only did it 6 days before you guys! Lake looked incredible in your video, was very overcast when I was there so didn’t really get to see it in its glory but thanks for video was glad to reminisce a bit

Wow! The view is amazing! But the trash on the mountain really is a disappointment 😢
The views were insane but it was so annoying having to look past the rubbish. If you can take it up with you, you can take it back down

Keluhan turis2 di youtube umumnya sama, di tempat wisata banyak sampah, kotor, tidak terawat. Gunung2 itu didaki oleh orang2 yg mengaku pecinta alam. Tapi kenapa mereka masih buang sampah sembarangan ya? Para oknum ini lebih pantas disebut pembenci alam. Tidak suka kebersihan. Inilah sebabnya turis Indonesia menduduki peringkat bontot kalah dg negara tetangga yg "kurang" indah tapi bersih dan terawat. Indonesia tidak diragukan alamnya yg indah tapi banyak sampah, kotor dan tidak terawat seperti dibiarkan, masyarakat dan pemda pun cuek saja tidak peduli. Menyedihkan.

That Indonesian part in my comment is for local people and local government to preserve more seriously the beauty nature they have. But I see you understand Indonesian too! 👍😉
Oh yes I understand what you mean, when we asked where the rubbish bags where etc they told us to just throw our rubbish away instead of keeping it with us. So we ended up carrying most of our groups rubbish back down the mountain because the problem was already so bad

It’s so hard to see, if your going into the mountains or nature in general you should always leave it as you found it. It’s our job to protect the environment for everyone to enjoy

We actually took down all the trash from our group and a bit more but unfortunately this issue was much bigger. It would be great to go back in the future and hike up and down in one day to the two camping spots because they desperately need some care
