I have to learn this I the key of A. I'm extremely confused as to why there has to be so many different versions of this song
The simplest explanation is what Brian is talking about at the beginning of the video. Different people have different vocal ranges. For most men, songs in Bb tend to run too high in pitch, the same with the key of A. I hope this helps!
Don't be confused, there is a standard to music, but no music is stàndard. You make a video yourself, and I will learn from it👍

The cord at 1:05 you noted as Bm is really a Bm11 but I believe Bethel just plays a Bm cord. A Bm7 or Bm11 could work if everyone is on the same page. By playing the open E on the first string makes the cord a Bm11.

why would you call this a tutorial of a song and not play it in the same key as the track? Doesn't really serve those who want to play the original. at least you could call it a tutorial for a male lead.
One humble suggestion.. . Start the video off playing the song all the way through for those that are intermediate and don’t necessarily need everything broken down. Thanks
Thanks Shane! We have full play through videos of all these songs as well. The play through a show the chords as we play them. They’re great for someone who just wants to see the chords without the full explanations.
