I don't know why the 2000 Titans don't get more recognition as one of the best teams to never win it all. They were statistically better than the 99 team that actually made the Super Bowl in almost every conceivable way.
Probably because they didn't make it to the super bowl, had they at least made the super bowl instead of losing that playoff game to the Ravens they definitely would be much better remembered than they are
2000 Baltimore Ravens the Best Defense and Offensive Running game, 11 game winning streak heading into the playoffs and turnovers , the Ravens Defense came to play in 2000 NFL playoffs, winning all 4 , Wildcard game and Divisional game and AFC Championship game and Superbowl championship 🏆
Yea it was hard watching that one bad throw from McNair to George that Ray took. People always act like ray over powered George there but that wasn’t the case. The ball was behind Eddie. Ray even admits Eddie intimidated him and credits Eddie for how good ray became. But yea the Titans were the best team that year, yes even better than Baltimore, just had some misfortune in the playoffs.
So sad because they would have won the Super Bowl if only they had gotten past the Baltimore Ravens. One of the greatest defenses to not win a championship.
Hopefully the 2020s will be better for the Titans than the 2010s. From 2000 to 2009, the Titans were the most fun team to watch in the NFL. They might not have went to the playoffs every season, but they were still fun to watch. The 2010s hasn't been so kind to them. 5 different head coaches, a combined record of 5-27 during 2014 and 2015, 2 playoff appearances, 11 straight loses to the Colts, and 0 wins against Andrew Luck when starting for the Colts. The Titans are the 3rd most popular team in the state of Tennessee behind a college football team 3 hours east of Nashville who has been less than or equal to mediocre for 12 years now and a hockey team who most people outside of the Nashville TV market didn't know existed until they made it to the Stanley Cup Finals and their star player married a country singer. I think and hope that the Tennessee Titans become a force to be reckoned with.
I know that playoff game against the Ravens had to be tough to take 'til this day because the Titans should've won that game it was a very even matchup and I'm sure the Titans would've won the Super Bowl that year had they got down there to Tampa. Still a great era for the Titans from 1999-2003.
Those Tennessee Titans teams the 99 Titans and the 2000 Titans and the 2002 Titans those were three chances the best chance was the 99-2000 season in a touchdown short 20 seconds to go to the in game I put the Titans like the Buffalo bills of the early Super Bowl teams
hello whoever you are.

I just seen a list of 30 greatest NFL teams and the 2000 Titans were on it.

Special teams were the killer that year. Del Greco mightily struggled in the last two home games against the Ravens.
