It’s truly the best feeling being in one of these big radial beastly planes! I was lucky to win a free seat with my grandpa and uncle back in 2006 to fly in a B-24 at an air show. And even with headphones on, it’s still a loud experience but oh-so amazing! You summed it up perfectly though. Sounded like being in a muscle car x100!
Man this games sceneries never get old. Always a great looking game and a lot of fun to either watch and/or play. Love the plane too. Reminds me (And I am no aviation expert by any means lol) the same style/type of plain that they fly in the movie The Expendables. Thank you for showcasing it to us Jeff. Good to hear you took some time off for the personal health needs and doing better now. That landing look really tough there!
Thank you so much for the video Jeff. It definitely made me revisit the days when I’d fly (as passenger) from Port Hardy to Rivers Inlet on these planes with Wilderness Seaplanes. I was in total nostalgia. Keep up the great work Jeff. Again thank you so much. Have a spectacular weekend.
Great episode, Jeff! I was a fan of the old Tales Of The Gold Monkey TV series that featured the Grumman Goose. When Microsoft offered the Goose in Flight Simm, I was really excited to fly it. It was the very first plane I was able to successfully land both on land and water. But taking off and landing on water in the simm was so much fun. Thanks for bringing back some early teen memories to this almost 60 year old.
It's amazing to have seen you grow over the yrs and being the amazing hardworking dude and husband you've become. Always enjoy watching your content Jeff. Keep up the amazing work brother and God Bless.
Such a Hero aircraft. Old and beaten but continues to live on! The designer of this aircraft is one of those people id love to shake hands with. Design is gorgeous, and the representation in game is absolutely stunning!
Hey Jeff, thanks for flying our plane and we're so glad you love her. Lots and lots of hours and love poured into this old girl. You mentioned that you love flying warbirds but the Goose wasn't one; not entirely true since the model you are flying is the JRF-6B which was made for the British to use as a navigation and bombing trainer, though the original G-21A was indeed civilian made (as a luxury water taxi!), most Goose were actually made during the war and then later sold to civilians after their service.
Considering the Grumman Goose is apparently a WWII vintage civilian aircraft after looking it up, slamming the throttles forward would definitely cause some major issues!
Happy Friday to you too bud! Love the way this plane sounds! Hey...what happened to my summer car? And the Canadian version? That series was fun to watch too!
Man this was such a nice flight especially with the water landings. But I have to say I am glad you did that 2nd landing. That was amazing seeing the plane turning around the tress then landing.
Recommendation jeff, you should try flying into Ocean Reef in florida. About a 4000 foot private strip that has some awesome scenery with all kinds of biz-jets.
nice to hear you had a good week we like to hear that well i do anyway...i really enjoyed your vid but most of all sharing your time with us is the most important thing to me....stay safe and love ya man,, have a good weekend
As soon as I saw AvAngels video review on this plane, I knew you would be into it. Glad you decided to fly it!! Looking forward to more MSFS videos jeff. Maybe check out the C140 next?
this is amazing! every since in the beginning of msfs you did the bush flights in PNG I've been passionate for bush flying ever since! thanks for that and this video:)
Woohoo, another flight video. That startup was amazing. Shocked how high the pylons get once the Goose is on plane and that approach to the runway strip looked intense.
You may know this, but the reason the tail came up so quickly with the brakes on is that the trust vector of the high mounted engines is way above the center of gravity of the Grumman G-21 "Goose". I was anticipating the forward hull slamming onto the runway before you backed-off the throttle and brakes.
is it just me or does This plane remind anyone of the airplane from the Old Classic Tailspin with Baloo and the crew? Dang good Video Jeff keep up the amazing work. Love the video man!
I flew across Canada in the game with a Cessna 172 by following the Trans Canada highway and the Rockies were amazing to fly through. Everything else was boring and flat lol.
This Goose would be great to fly from YVR to Vancouver Island and in NYC to Floyd Bennett Field, where they used to fly for the NYPD back in the day. There’s still a sea ramp for them there.
Gorgeous plane, really nicely recreated, and man - MSFS still blows me away with its visuals! I miss playing it - not launched it since November last year when i was told to download a whopping 80GB update - a figure that has most likely doubled since then. My crappy non fiber internet connection just cant keep up with the constant immense mandatory updates and even the actual in-game map streaming struggles around cities. I'm sadly putting it on ice til i can finally get access to fiber internet. PS - was this the same plane from the end of 'Commando'?
hey jeff, have you ever heard of the Martin Mars Bomber? It is a MASSIVE water bomber. Made of Wood, it was designed and built during WW2 Eventually it was turned into a waterbomber so where i live in CANADA you could see it on occasion filling up with water... Just floating in a lake lol Maybe you could get someone to make that- OR, do a video of one if you can find it! To this day a 2/4 that were built are still active in British Columbia as on call water bombers
Idk how long it will take but one side of Canada to the other would be cool, or a flight from a city to one of the small reserves where you have to land on a very small sketchy run away might be fun too lol
Yeah, the International 9900i just came out recently, and with Harven’s International 9900i Cummins ISX15 Engine Sound Remix mod installed, I’m loving the truck after driving it once on a quick job, although I have a few small complaints with it: 1) Side mirrors are a bit too far outward for my liking, and 2) there’s no indicator light on the dash for the Jake brake
why are you max back on the yoke? you need to gain speed before you pull back,... if you dont it takes longer to take off and creates an early stall from lack of speed.
@@jfavignano just looked that up, i got you man good stuff. ive never learned anything about water landings or takeoffs, its interesting that you included that in your video! keep on keepin on brotha
Loving how this game looks now 😍 absolutely amazing. Any chance we can get a Big Mama JuJu training Anita FivePD anytime soon. Think you and Ryan would be hilarious with a plot like that.
Damn that thing sounds like a good ol muscle car in the air lol. Love them old engine sounds. Awesome video Jeff! Flying around my home, BC
Mine too! Vancouver

Yep, best flying sim there’s ever been, nothing comes close.
Actually reminds me of the Arnold movie "Commando"...

The Goose was one of my favorite airplanes in MSFSX.
Also it was used in the Disney afternoon cartoon "Tail Spin" in the 90's.

Very cool to know! Makes sense why y'all decided to make her

Your home away from home in the air! Let's fly ✈️. Love the scenery views.
And he’s flying over mine lol BC is the best place in the world

This looked great! Especially when you came in over the trees with the shadow over the trees as well... beautiful
You're setup & the realism of the plane, sounds and background is superb!
Man this was such a nice flight especially with the water landings. But I have to say I am glad you did that 2nd landing. That was amazing seeing the plane turning around the tress then landing.
I absolutely love the Grumman Goose. Thank you SO MUCH for featuring this beauty! ❤
Really enjoyed this video, Jeff. The sound of that radial is so realistic.
Woohoo, flying in my backyard! 🇨🇦
Wow!Jeff.,. Taking us back to the early days of flight! Woot!
Recommendation jeff, you should try flying into Ocean Reef in florida. About a 4000 foot private strip that has some awesome scenery with all kinds of biz-jets.
Jeff, if you ever get the chance to come up here to BC.... The Chilko Lake is beautiful in person (as is the entirety of this province)
Glad to hear you're feeling better, Jeff! This was a great vid! I like how you show all the "little things". Great work as always!
There is a real fun landing spot in sandpit on the queen Charlotte's, you land on water and lower the wheels to pull up onto land using a boat ramp

Cool. I liked that. Pretty cool landing on water and take off. Awesome video.
After seeing the thumbnail I actually was combined that you were going to fly on the real thing haha, awesome video!
I wish!

These flight simulator videos are always entertaining to watch Jeff, keep up the great work!
Very cool plane probably my favorite plane in the series yet thanks Jeff
Wow those engines sound great!! 👍
One of the MUST HAVE addons for MSFS, no doubt about it.
Looks like a pretty cool plane! Thanks for the video Jeff :)
Beautiful filming. Looks real!
That aircraft is awesome, great replay shots btw
Land and take off with the real Grumman Goose please… from Wilderness Seaplanes in Port Hardy British Columbia
You know why it was called the Spruce Goose?
Because it was made of birch and mahogany
Reminded me of sitting by Nimpo Lake on way to Bella Coola via Freedom Road 👌👍
This Goose would be great to fly from YVR to Vancouver Island and in NYC to Floyd Bennett Field, where they used to fly for the NYPD back in the day. There’s still a sea ramp for them there.
I have been to that airstrip a few times. Can't believe how realistic it looks
This has been one of my fave vids. If it’s in, I’d love to see a flight landing in Norwich, although I know it’s random and out the way

Yes, same type.
I would love to see you land this on the Hudson River in NYC just for sceneries sake. High rises on one side sunset on the other 😁
This is so awesome keep up the good work man
Welcome to Canada, Jeff.
Absolutely awesome flight Jeff, those engines sound just like a hot rod lol
This plane brings me back to the old fsx days too lol
It does have a water rudder you have to open the control panel from a hatch on the ground!
Yes but as I was explaining the real airplane doesn’t

Awesome plane! Great video! Happy Friday Jeff!

Jeff how long does it take you to change from flight sim to car racing or driving tractor trailer? yoiu have all the latest accesories
Are you gonna make a 9900i video on ats yet?

Hey Jeff will you ever make lspdfr videos again? They were my faves!
you should go to mt Robson, near jasper
I THOUGHT THIS WAS IRL. GRAPHICS ARE SO GOOD
What a beautiful plane! I'm in love 😅
i think ive been to chilko lake in bc, i actually live like 5 ish hours from it

You should do a fly over rural Minnesota roseau
Graphics look so good.

Do you use ruddrs or just the steering wheel to steer?
Rudder pedals
@@jfavignano Thank you Jeff!
@@jfavignano And honestly the graphics are so good, while it was sitting in the water before started it, I thought it might be a real plane.
Lovely airplane, it's so big and clunky I feel like it shouldn't be able to fly! haha
the goose was always my favorite plane to fly.
Just picked one up! Thanks Jeff!! Just subscribed :)
welcome to the channel!
happy friday jeff hope u have a great weekend stay safe
I wonder if u could use the yoke and throttle on war thunder
looks amazing !
There is a water rudder option under the G530.
Showed it
@@jfavignano how do I show pictures here? It is in the hidden compartment between the seats.
What did Jeff mean by "bring our props back"?
the prop lever, changes the pitch of the blades
@@jfavignano I did not know they had such a thing. I guess the old saying is true, you learn something new everyday. Thank you Jeff.
This was always a dream of mine, being a pilot flying from one lake to another :(

i liek plens :3
Could you maybe do some more of these vintage, radial planes?
BOA TARDE AMIGO PASANDO PRA LHE DESEJAR UM OTIMO FINAL DE SEMANA E DEIXANDO MEU LIKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will you fly the rotate md11?
Does that plane not have the option to raise/lower the wing pontoons?
Sadly no
bought the plane, but for some reason its not showing in my planes hanger
I want to fly this one soon.
Is that what Jimmy Buffet owned and flew?
ik this isnt the game but how do u get your nve to look like that. mine looks nothing like it
is anyone else having issues activating the new MD-11 with windows? i can’t activate mine.
More flying videos!!
Oh Canada!
