    The End Times Part 2
    TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:1-5
    3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 tre-acherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people (nkjv - And from such people turn away!)
    1. lovers of themselves
    2. lovers of money
    3. boastful (kujisifu) - talk with excessive pride and self-satisfaction about one's achievements, possessions, or abilities
    4. proud - (Fahari) - feeling deep pleasure or satisfaction as a result of one's own achievements, qualities, or possessions or those of someone with whom one is closely associated
    5. abusive - actions that are hurtful or harmful
    6. disobedient to their parents
    7. ungrateful
    8. unholy
    9. without love
    10. unforgiving
    11. slanderous -
    (a) a false charge (compare Matthew 5:11)
    “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
    (b) it may be a truth circulated insidiously and with a hostile purpose (e.g. Daniel 3:12, "brought accusation against,"
    But there are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon-Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego-who pay no attention to you, Your Majesty. They neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up.”
    12. without self-control

    13. brutal (Katili) - violent, no value for life, bloodthirsty, harm others
    a) The Spirit of Cain - Gen 4;6-7 6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
    14. not lovers of the good
    a) if you love good, you will do good to people
    b) you will make peace - Mat 5:9
    15. tre-acherous - disloyal, taritors, betrayal of trust
    16. rash - reckless, speaking, acting or done without careful consideration of the possible consequences. Stubborn, Lazy.
    17. conceited - excessive pride in oneself
    18. lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
    a) Feasts b) Bash c) Contributions to pleasures
    These things promote the works of the flesh Gal 5:19-22
    “19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
    19. have a form of godliness but denying its power
    Have nothing to do with such people.
