- Here are some of the people i met on the TT trip. Sorry its taken so long to get this out to you guys but it was a bit of a nightmare to edit. Please enjoy these verbal offerings from the internets.
Loads of requests for the riders names. I didnt put them in because i wanted them to appear on the same level as the fans and the other people who are part of the event.

People here in The United States particularly in the media refer to the Indianapolis 500 as "The Greatest Spectacle in Motor Sports". I respectfully disagree. While the 500 is driving really fast around a circuit, the TT is like driving really fast around a circuit while someone throws buildings at you.
davedeja yea honestly the greatest racing is road racing where it isn't perfect that's what makes rally so great and tarmac road racing like the Irish road race series and even Nürburgring was originally a public road but eventually became a closed track becuase it's so difficult
Yeah, the Yanks really like to call themselves "world champions" in sports that only exist in the US.
Like, practically nobody outside the US gives a single shit about NASCAR
And, in the top INTERNATIONAL motorsports, there is not a single Yank in either Formula 1 or MotoGP...
There's a Canadian (Lance Stroll) in F1, but he's only there because his Dad owns a team. Otherwise, he's one of the worst drivers I've ever seen.
Whilst people see their chance to hate on anything noit fron their village I am sitting here, chuckling about the ' whike someone throws buildings at you' part. Thanks for that Dave!

Even watching the TT IOM on TH-cam is surreal. So bummed I missed out but maybe next year I'll finally get to see it in person.

Loved to go to TT IOM and see it with my eyes, and also make a lap just cruising around the track that should be incredible.
***** You call it a track, but when you get to the Island and start riding the course, it hits you: These are public roads, with houses, pubs and stone walls within kissing distance of the side of the road. It really makes you realise how nuts these TT riders are! Big respect to them. Go to the TT, you will not regret it :D
DrummerMan52 yes I believe everyone that starts riding those streets becomes fascinated on how fast they go... and those jumps are totally insane.
Let's see how life turns out, maybe I will be able to go sooner than I think... at least I hope so. :)

It always makes me almost well up asking the older man about his special memories and the look in his eyes when he takes himself back to those fantastic times he had riding the TT

has to be the best vid ive seen this year. really captures on a personal level the spectacle of TT and why its so revered. it appears to be one of the last places where motor sport is still pure and passionate. i envy everyone that has had the opportunity to go.

Top of the class for this video. I didn't go to my first TT until 2011 and I kick myself for no going earlier. It is utterly compelling, mad and entertaining, with the bonus being the best playground for motorbikes known to man.
The first time you hear a Superbike flat out for what seems like an age, catch sight of it as it the come into view and then flash past you flat out in a high gear through corners, redefining your frame of reference for what is actually possible, stays with you and makes it impossible to not return for another fix of the spectacle.
The video reminds of that feeling, was going to just do the Bol D'or next year, but now I'll have to look at a TT trip again!
Someone at channel 4 deserves a medal for letting guy Martin make his excellent shows.......
Another outstanding TT video by BvG. But oh boy does it make you miss that sound of the bikes ripping past. Hope to see you again soon Isle of man TT.

TT is an amazing spectacle and there is nothing quite like the silence and stillness of the air whilst waiting for the first bikes to go through.
BvG has quite literally gone pro. So awesome to see you develop from an English bastard on a bike talking about urinating on a computer keyboard to releasing professional content. I do miss those stories though! keep staying awesome!!

That was pretty cool. I like the close and informal nature of it. Though it's super-competitive, it still reflects the motorcycle community's attitude of being there for one another.

My overriding memory of the place is the sound of the bikes as they approach and the sound builds and then hangs in the air for what seems like an eternity once they pass. Special, special place.
This was a very good enjoyable watch. You conveyed the essence of the event and it's people without just focusing on the bikes themselves.
I really love your interviews from the TT, some of the best coverage from the inside I've seen. I could eat at least seven big macs in 20 min, but I am American.
That was amazing. Going to the TT is definitely one of those things on my bucket list. It's a long trip coming from the US but I HAVE to make this happen. Thanks so much for sharing. Cheers.
That's where I watched the TT from in 2012 crazy how u listen to the top riders come through there and not back off and it's a massive corner! And when your hanging over that drystone wall how close you are u could put ur arm out and touch them!! Defo going back next year might see you there Baron :)

Finally! Been waiting for another TT episode for quite a while - it's such a fascinating event, even just from a remote perspective (haven't been there), and it's especially amazing to get this close to it without actually being there.
Also, those bikes going past in nothing but a blur. Damn.

The Baron, quite possibly the poshest person at the TT,.! its a very special place, my 1st time there as a spectator was 1975, rode over on my honda CB750k2, (manx gp) and raced there (manx gp) in (76 on No 1 plate)/77/78 on ex charlie williams Td3 yamaha 250"maxton", and on my 78 ride i had a tz engine in it off padgetts and lockheed disc brakes plus mag wheels, and i went back in 2019 on my yamaha R7 owo2, aged 65,.! "spectator" with my eldest son (37) on his Ducati 996 sps,. magical memories,.

This is such a great video. Never really had the desire to own a sports bike (More of a cruiser man if anything), but one thing I've always had an interest in it's the TT. As one of your interviewees said 'You'd be able to start a race like this from scratch today'. A fantastic video, tastefully shot with some excellent light relief and, personally my favourite touch, no music. Top work *****

My Dad went out there this year unfortunately I couldn't join him, I hope I can go with him next year only he's facing the predicament of whether to go the the British MotoGP or the TT so we'll see. Great vid Baron well worth the wait, mate!

This is an excellent piece on the TT. Raw and emotive.
I love motorsport in particular GT racing cars (Lambos, Ferrari, Porsche etc) and in Australia we have the Bathurst 12 hr. That event is great. If you are ever wanting to come to Australia I highly recommend it and would love to show you around Mt Panorama :)
