Love coffee week!! I can only imagine how much work it must be for you to find the time to not only review but also to film and edit, but it is so loved and appreciated by us viewers and if you are able to do other variations of “blank week” in the future, your dear friends will be all over it!!!
Now THATS dedication! I would not be willing to have the allergy symptoms. I have tried that candle more than once, and I am also not impressed. It’s somewhat smelled like a coffee candle, but definitely not strong enough and it did not burn well either for me nor did it throw. I like most other Goose Creek Candles that I have tried more than the coffee, also have you tried there country jars rather than the one you have there ? They may use different fragrance oils in those, and it sounds like you may be allergic to the fragrance oils.
Gurl that sucks! I actually love GC. I tend to gravitate more towards wax melts just bc I can sample a lot more at once. They more than not get pretty sooty in candle form anyway. Their home runs tend to be vanilla, leaf and apple scents. I feel your pain about seasonal allergies mine got HEINOUS. Their Coffee House was ok. More chocolate to me than coffee.
I love pure coffee scents, finished GC Turkey and now half way through Coffee House that I really enjoy. Have to say, of the few GC I’ve had the wicks do appear skinny compared to BBW. I agree Coffee House did only give me around 5.5/6 in my small kitchen. Village Candle I like a lot but after a couple of hours my chest feels tight and I start coughing and I know a couple of other burner friends have the same problem. It’s just the formula and oils these candle companies use. 😊pauline UK.
I can only melt or warm goosecreek, I find that the majority of their candles burn really badly for me and some give off a chemical smell when burning, Ive stopped buying from them and I’m trying to use up the ones I currently have
Their 2 wick paraffin candles didn't bother me, but their 3 wicks I can't burn, I have asthma and my breathing is bad everytime I would burn one of their 3 wicks, I haven't purchased from them in over 3 years and never will again.
Yes, you absolutely can become allergic to fragrances! I have autoimmune disease, have been on infusions for the past 2 years, and now suddenly can’t breathe around lit candles. I have a damaged diaphragm and phrenic nerve all from that medicine. I still do candles, but only in small doses. I’m super bummed, and I have a large collection! There’s even a sign on my rheumatologist’s door saying you can’t wear perfume there. Those parrafin jars from goose creek were my favorites! 😩
@@coffeecandles3359I don’t know..but it gets to the point that I need to use my inhaler 😂 Yet, I keep trying them…I’m a sucker for their collabs. I have significantly slowed down on purchasing from them though. They also don’t like any criticism or negative reviews. They were only showing positive reviews on their website. That may have changed, but that is what they were doing a few years ago. They have a group on fb and would ban anyone who said anything negative about their candles. Me included! 😂
I gave Goose Creek a try last Spring of a variation of 9 candles. I was not impressed. I found their scent blends to be cheap smelling and didn’t mix well into something cohesive and enjoyable. Most smelled off in one way or another…to me. The only ones I can say that I truly enjoyed were the Pink Bubble Gum and Watermelon Bubble Gum. I only melt them and do not burn them as my experience with the others I tried was not good. I feel that they place more effort into packaging design and use cheap wax and fragrances that are just thrown together. One of them went straight in the garbage as it smelled like burnt and bitter toast that had charred to the point of non-recognition. Horrible! I couldn’t even give it away it was so bad. I think that one was Bakehouse Croissant or something of a similar name. They also seem to heavily moderate their reviews section so it isn’t worth using that as a metric to decide whether a candle is really good. I probably won’t purchase from them again, but will enjoy their Bubble Gums as wax melts. Those really smell good and authentic but again, one dimensional so I imagine a fairly easy recipe to not get wrong.✌️
Ha! Typical customer service nowadays they don’t want to hear you talk. It’s just like ma’am just be quiet and do you want a reimbursement yes or no. lol.

I love that idea. Beer or wine or booze week sounds great.
Hahahahahahahahaha
Holy cow I have never heard anyone having a reaction to a candle. Thank you for sharing that information it’s good to know. 😮

So bizarre! I can’t be the only one!!
@coffeecandles3359 I have just given alot of them to friends and family, always enjoy your channel and candle reviews! 😊

I have breathing issues around Goose Creek😟 I don’t burn them, but I put them under a lamp. I still have issues…not all, but most I have tried.
Ridiculous. What is in them???

Yeah even if I hadn’t had the bad experience, I don’t know that I’d be a huge fan 😉
