  • Hello! This is Yemyem :)
Today's video is a vlog of my Western USA trip. I couldn’t include every single place, but I’m sharing the itinerary with you. Your subscriptions and likes really help me out!
    🤍 Day 1 🤍
📍 LAX Airport: Took an Uber from the airport. The Uber zone was very well organized.
📍 Jenny’s Cozy House: This was the Korean guesthouse where I stayed. It was decent for the price.
📍 In-N-Out: A must-try burger chain exclusive to the West Coast! It’s a shining light amidst the high US prices and tastes great. Do try the Animal Fries :)
📍 Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive: This is the Rodeo Drive you might have seen in TV shows. It’s lined with luxury stores and great for a casual stroll.
📍 K-Town, Yubduk: K-Town felt a bit intimidating, and the safety didn’t seem too reassuring. I was craving Korean Yubduk since I was in Vancouver. Although it wasn’t exactly like back home, it was over 90% similar and I was satisfied.
    🤍 Day 2 🤍
📍 Disneyland: If you're in the US, you have to visit Disneyland! I went in October 2023 when it was decorated for Halloween. Visiting during a themed period is a great idea. I used Genie+ and was really pleased with it.
    🤍 Day 3 🤍
📍 LAX Airport to Las Vegas Airport: I flew with Southwest Airlines. Interestingly, there were no assigned seats; you just find an available seat yourself.
📍 Flamingo Hotel: The hotel was nice, but the cigarette and marijuana smells were a bit bothersome. The Flamingo and pool are lovely, and it’s conveniently located near the bustling area.
📍 Fabulous Las Vegas: Took the bus to see this iconic spot for a photo. The lines for the front view were too long, so I took pictures from the side. If you don’t mind not getting a head-on shot, saving time by taking photos from the side is fine. A tripod would be really helpful here.
📍 Gordon Ramsay Burger: I initially wanted to visit Hell’s Kitchen, but didn’t realize it required a reservation. In Vegas, there are three Gordon Ramsay restaurants: Burger, Fish & Chips, and Hell’s Kitchen! Since you can get burgers in Korea, trying Hell’s Kitchen or Fish & Chips might be a good idea.
📍 Bellagio Fountain Show: It wasn’t as extravagant as I expected, but the fact that it’s free is a plus.
    🤍 Day 4 🤍 1-Night, 2-Day Grand Canyon Tour
📍 Zion Canyon: Named after the biblical Zion, not because it’s giant. Be careful not to take pictures on the road as you might get fined.
📍 Red Canyon: On the way, we stopped at some small canyons for photos. Korean tours focus a lot on photo opportunities.
📍 Subway: Grabbed lunch from Subway.
📍 Bryce Canyon: Famous for its stunning red hoodoos. Bryce Canyon was truly breathtaking.
📍 Horseshoe Bend: The iconic spot often featured in ads. Despite the sandy winds, it was a memorable place.
    🤍 Day 5 🤍 1-Night, 2-Day Grand Canyon Tour
📍 Antelope Canyon: The path here was a bit rough, so I couldn’t film. Although I found it all looked quite similar, it was stunning in photos.
📍 Grand Canyon: The sheer vastness was astounding.
📍 Horseshoe Hotel: Clean and well-located. It was a good place to stay for one night.
📍 Hot & Juicy: I went here based on recommendations. The service was exceptional, especially the friendly staff who were great at refilling drinks. The service left a positive impression.
📍 Coca-Cola Store, M&M’s Store: Nearby shops for those interested. I just gave them a quick look.
    🤍 Day 6 🤍
📍 Wicked Spoon: One of the top three buffets in Vegas. There was a bit of a wait, and the food was okay.
📍 Venetian Hotel: The artwork and ceiling murals here are stunning. The gondola rides outside are beautifully decorated. If I return to Vegas, I’d like to stay here.
📍 Las Vegas Airport to LAX Airport
📍 Chipotle: A famous Mexican chain with reasonable prices and generous portions. It’s a good spot to try if you haven’t had it before.
📍 Hollywood Walk of Fame: It’s fun to find names on the stars, but since there are many with the same name, using Google Maps to find specific stars might be helpful.
📍 Dolby Theatre: Went to check out where Parasite won its award.
    🤍 Day 7 🤍
📍 The Getty: This wasn’t originally on my itinerary, but it was highly recommended by others. I booked tickets online. Entry is free! The art collection is extensive, and even if you’re not into art, the architecture of the building is impressive.
📍 Blu Jam Café: I reserved a spot via Google Maps beforehand. The food was familiar, but Korean brunch places have been amazing lately…
📍 Santa Monica Beach: Went biking here. The beach itself isn’t spectacular, but the bike paths are well-developed. The pier and amusement park area are lovely, and the blue in the photos is stunning.
📍 Urth Caffé: Visited based on great reviews. The café was beautiful and had a nice atmosphere.
📍 Griffith Observatory: The observatory featured in La La Land. It’s a beautiful place, and you can also observe planets from the outside.
