Sunset beach would be gorgeous using this method! I loooove the sun and palm trees. Takes me home to Corpus Christi. The sun was always so beautiful against the water.
What a beauty 😍 love the effect the crayons gave then tumbler. You always do an outstanding job with your cups. This one of course doesn’t disappoint ❤❤ and the vinyl choice was 👌🏽👌🏽stunning job! 🏝️ 🌅 stay blessed love 🥰
Absolutely gorgeous! Never would’ve thought crayons but I’m here for it! I have so many left over from a women’s ministry conference I did. What a way to be able to incorporate this technique into it! ❤❤❤❤
This is such a great idea. I have some tumblers to do for painting company and this might work great!! Also see some pretty ocean /water tumblers and rainbow and sunrise sunsets. So many ideas!!!
Oh my goodness!! I am so intrigued and need to try melting crayons on a tumbler!!❤ this is my vibe! That sunset reminds me of vintage 70’s designs and my childhood! Thank you for sharing
Wow great technique. Way better then alcohol ink. My brain is on overload on how I will use technique to make other things. You Rock my art World 🌎. Hugs Sheryl 🩵🎨🩵
I tried this yesterday, and just as a heads up, my epoxy repelled. It was a fast-set, but not turbo. I also coated the entire cup with melted crayon, so perhaps it didn't have anything to grip. I wonder if I should have spray sealed. It was fun, and I will definitely try again!
Oh no! It shouldn’t have matter that you did the whole cup honestly. I’ve also used fast set and regular epoxy on my crayon tumblers, if you don’t use enough epoxy or to much heat or both then epoxy can repel but that can happen on any style tumbler. If you need more help please reach out to me through FB and I will be more than happy to walk you through it. I am so happy that you tried this design and definitely want to help you get it right! 🩷🩷
Thank you so much, I made it using the cricut and in design space I used the circle shapes tool and sized it to about 5in and then again used the shapes tool the rectangle to make the lines, one line at a time then slice. Once I had all my desired lines with in my sunset, I cut using some old vinyl to use as my stencil. 🩷
What do you use for epoxy on white glitter that will not turn the cup yellow. I have tried several epoxies and all seem to turn yellow after a few months
Thanks for sharing what NOT to do. 😂 I'm curious if you did this again, would you still remove the stencil for the inner parts of the B and A, or leave them so that they are white in the end?
Great question, when applying the epoxy I always try to go from the bottom up, never backwards from the rim down, so flowing the epoxy from the bottom up usually helps from the epoxy dripping inside the tumbler. I hope this helps.
Can I ask why you just didn’t remove the palm trees and birds once you realized your mistake, and the lined the sun and reprinted the palm trees and the birds? I think it might have been easier for you. Otherwise I love this design and tutorial. Thank you ☺️
Thank you very much and absolutely lol it would have been easier, honestly I’m not sure 🤔 what I was thinking, other than just another route to doing those type designs. But like I said rest assured it will never happen again lmao 😜

This turned out amazing!! Can you do a flamingo inspired tumbler in the near future?!
Thank you so much, and that flamingo 🦩 idea sounds fun!

How did you make the stencil fir the sunset? Absolutely stunning!

Super 😍... but do you sand the sublimation tumbler b4 using it?
Oh yes it’s a must, no matter how you design using epoxy. It’s important to remove the glossy on the sub cups.
Thanks for sharing what NOT to do. 😂 I'm curious if you did this again, would you still remove the stencil for the inner parts of the B and A, or leave them so that they are white in the end?
You are so welcome and yes honestly, I'm so open to trying this again and trying all the things lol.
did you sand the tumbler at all first? I'm wondering if epoxy will chip off if I don't sand them. TIA
Oh yes, I sand all my sub tumblers really well.
How do you get the epoxy not to go inside the tumbler when applying around the rim?
Great question, when applying the epoxy I always try to go from the bottom up, never backwards from the rim down, so flowing the epoxy from the bottom up usually helps from the epoxy dripping inside the tumbler. I hope this helps.
@RebeccaEscott Yes, thank you very much.
If this cup gets left in a hot car, is the wax underneath going to melt?
To be honest you should never leave any epoxied tumbler in the car, but to answer your question, no.
Love this!!!! What size did you use for stencils???
@@sharoncavanaugh931 Thank you so much, the word Beach was 7.01W X 1.95HT and the sun was 4.667W X 4.667HT
@@RebeccaEscott Thank you!!!
@@sharoncavanaugh931 You are most welcome.
