I like the slight bow she did when the crowd cheer for her. She seems so polite.
the chinese part of her )
I met her. She is
Asian mom
@@fdsaffff shut the fuck up lol
I think her father is of Chinese descendent and white surrogate mother using a donated egg.
She said she focuses only on the next move, not on the whole routine. That gave me something to think about: to accomplish anything in life we just need to divide the problem into smaller ones and then just focus on the next one and not worry about anything else. Easier said than done, of course... that's what makes her so different.
Most skaters think that way. It's impossible to do a performance while thinking about the entire thing, and not the individual elements.
More like a checklist. Done, next. Done, next. Accomplishment, forward-looking, and pace. All at the same time. And if you see a bomb, jump on it, let it blow over. Then the checklist starts again.
Not to forget she put alot of effort for practice before she can come to the execute focusing her skill
yes! there's ted talks about this too. it's about breaking up your goal into increments and focusing on accomplishing those items because if you improve/accomplish even just 1% each day in the long run that adds up...and it's the journey that no one sees that lead people to their success.
The New England Patriots play their season like this . They don't look ahead , they just look at the next game. I would guess most sports teams do this .
i love how she’s wearing a winter jacket 😂
Omg, yesss!😍Her outfit was fashionable & practical. Those red sneakers tho'😎
its still cold in ny
Chinese people do that lol i make vlogs and vids from China by the way~
She is always on ice its probably cold all the time for her
AnD sPriTe you mean it’s probably warm for her... as an ice skater myself we don’t get cold
She's so adorable and amazing. Keep going!
I THINK THE PROPER WAY TO SYA YOUR NAME IS YOU KNOW WHOAHOSAHVBC
I'm adorable too and I make youtube vids. Please watch them :)
“Everyone’s very supportive in figure skating” *flashback to Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan*
Lex C. Oh, well, yeah...
😂
It’s the exception that proves the rule.
Mariah bell...
😄
Incredible maturity for 13!! Congrats girlie
She’s so pure and positive ✨ love her energy
What a nice girl. Hope she becomes very successful 🙏
Katame she already is ;)
she already is the best skater everrrr
she lost against the russian Valieva so no i dont think she's the best
She just performed 30 minutes ago! 1st place
@@noakurin6622 i know she was amazing, so was Mariah Bell. I just dont see them winning to eteri's girls
Wish ALL kids could be this happy/supported/focused in their chosen hobbies & eventual careers.
Never mind that EVERYONE is different.
most atheletes suffer like they’re in hell everyday at least physically and most likely mentally as well so 😐
She's at the age where it's still rainbows and sunshines. That's the age girls are unbeatable in pretty much every sport
her happiness is contagious
It was the cutest thing when she just cried 😭 after her routine and then when she got her score.
Its time for another great asian american figure skater to rise up. Miss seeing Kristi Yamaguchi and Michelle Kwan.
R J Absolutely, it's awesome to see so much diversity and talent in U.S. figure skating these days, makes me excited to see what Team USA can accomplish leading up to the next Olympics!
why does race matter to you? I don't see it myself- only talent when its there.
Chinese skaters. where? european Vagner .Gold
Charlotte Kym yes I believe all Asians represents all ❤️ and me too I’m so happy too
She is beautiful and comes from the human race.
ALYSA! She's so charming and well-spoken for her age - it's so good to see that she's not overwhelmed by the media and is taking everything in stride!
She’s not shy or awkward at all. A complete star in the making. Will be interesting to see what happens when she goes up against the Russian trio of Alena Kostornaia, Alexandra Trusova, and Anna Shcherbakova. Unfortunately those girls will likely go up to seniors before Alysa even hits juniors.
Carlee Maurier i believe all three of them are eligible for seniors next year and i know alysa will be eligible for juniors next year. if alysa improves her technique, then she will be much more long lasting than those three (just look at the deterioration of alina zagitova this season). i hope she doesn’t start trying to jump quads yet and follows in more of the path of rika kihira.
@@noelle6235 Okay yes I was unclear before, what I meant is they will go to seniors AS Alysa starts as a junior, I was merely trying to emphasize that they will be in seniors before she has a chance to go against them. As for the Eteri junior trio, I think Anna and Trusova will certainly falter in the same way as Alina currently is, but I haven't made up my mind about Alena yet. She has more artistry than any Eteri girl, Alina included. In fact, I would say she is second in Russia only to Evgenia in terms of performance. That, paired with the fact that she is the lone girl in that trio to not be doing any over the top jumps, makes me think that she might be the one Eteri girl to have some longevity. That is, if Eteri doesn't pressure her to take on more than she can handle. Although, it IS Eteri so that probably won't happen. I don't know. But I do want to believe that Alena Kostornaia could actually make a career for herself.
tglc wcss I can't wait to see Alysa and Rika compete against each other, it'll be a triple axel face-off!
The competition will be against Kamila Valieva the new Eteri's"monster". She will replace Sasha, Anna and Alyona.[ Maya Jkromikj and Daria Usacheva complete the replacement trio].
Carlee Maurier I heard she’s doing 3A and started preparing quads too.
She’s an amazing athlete, artist, and a wonderful person. What a lot of poise for a kid in middle school! I’m so glad she was on your show, Jimmy.
So cute! I used to do figure skater but I stopped cause it was too difficult for me. She’s got to be super strong and persistent to be where she is!👍
Aww I wanna quit too 😔
Me too. I got injured.
Never give up guys.
Alysa Liu may be diminutive in size but she is going to be a giant in the sport of figure skating!
I think she,s already a giant, with all the great things she,s achieve all ready at 14. She's arguably the most famous figure skater on the planet.
She is not that small any more.
This makes me happy Congratulations to her on her amazing success and more to come ❤️❤️
She's so cute an awesome!
I can’t believe we went to the same school (elementary)
@@shmrnt5996 Be proud lol
Glad to see some news that's good for once!!
I once saw her she didn’t notice me
fallon has awesome chemistry with a champion in their field. he relates. she's joyous. he relates. she's committed, and focused. he relates. Jimmy, Alysa great interview. yay!
I'll have to check out her routine where she won...not familiar with this adorable, talented, kind, beautiful young lady!
Both of her programs were amazing you should definitely check them out
Pretty much every girl competing fell while doing jumps except her
loveforeignaccents She was amazing.
She had the cleanest AND by far the hardest program.
Two triple axels!
ahhh she’s such a star ⭐️
l've said it before and I'll say it again. Jimmy is great with Kids. everytime a young guest comes to his show... he just manages it too well... even turns awkwardness into fun
Except that she’s 13 and he talked to her like she was 5.
She is so sweet and adorable! Love her smile!
Nice job parents for raising such a humble and adorable daughter and athlete with endearing people skills.
she had only a dad!
She is so pure. This is how kids her age should behave and who they should look up to not these “Instagram models.”
lol instagram "models".
These ig models keep selling you crap.
I wish he actually interviewed her. She could've handled proper questions.
the ritual performed by Alysa & Jimmy is priceless...
I used to be skating buddies with her and all she does is skate skate workout and skate. I think she really deserves this. Miss you Alisa!
I was in the front row when she skated in Detroit and she was honestly amazing, truly a breathtaking skater!
Omg she is so awesome. I like how Jimmy was with her too. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of this young superstar.
She came to my home town and skated for us she is so polite and she gives me and a ton others high fives
She has a bright future, she is so charismatic for that young age.
being there when she skated was insane and watching her make history was absolutely insane!! love her and she deserves everything she has! 💗
Alysa seems like a really great kid ...and clearly an unbelievable athlete! I can't wait for her to (hopefully) represent us in the 2022 Olympics!
She made it!
@@Jayosa520 She didn’t do as well Against Russian and Asian skaters.
So did other American skaters. Except Nathan Chen, but he is Chinese.
@@pohmoh3590 Nathan Chen is Chinese American, born in US
What an athlete at a such a young age. She's adorable.. I wish her all the best! ❤️
She may be the cutest little girl ever! Being a mom of 5 boys. ..I could listen to her little laugh all day!
you are a great mom, raising 5 children is a great challenge
...and 5 boyssss, too!😚😚😚😚😚
You need a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5 boys!! I've seen 4 brothers a few times, but not 5!
@@lvega5606 yes ma'am.... my boys are now 25, 24, 20, 18, 17 lol.
What an extremely thoughtful and sweet young lady who is such a ambitious athlete. Hope she will continue to mature as she makes her way as the next World or National champion and if she continues to make progress, a future Olympian champion. Her figure skating has speed, her personality, character. Her fans will continue to look up to her as their source of inspiration.
Ohh my goodness, she is SO cute and not to mention talented !! I love her cute little smile! I wish you the absolute best Alysa !!!
She is just the cutest! She was sitting behind me on Sunday during the Men's Free Skate. I congratulated her and she was so sweet to the many young fans who came by to ask her for a photo.
What a sweetheart she is. I hope she deals with the attention and pressure well. I can’t wait to see how she measures up in the senior international field.
Such an incredible accomplishment!!
Omg She’s so pure and joyful! I hope she never looses them!
Watched her live on TV... EXTRAORDINARY heart! With a Fantastic talent. Congratulations.
This is probably the cutest interview ever!
shes so nice and pretty!!
what an absolute sweetheart! she seems so mature and genuine :) good for her!
This girl is so kind and so talented❤️
Most adorable child I've seen. I want her to be my little sister! Congratulations on your success. Wish you the best on your journey.
The happiest kid I’ve seen in a long time
You can tell that she is going to have a successful career, and an amazing future ahead of her. Keep on skating, Alysa. 😊😊😊❤
She seems like a total sweetheart
Figure skating isnt normally on my radar... but to be as talented as she is at such a young age... plus being from my own hometown... there's no way i can avoid feeling proud. You're damn right I'm gonna cheer for her in Beijing!! 👏👏
She is simply delightful , always smiling
Like to know more about her family background, the upbringing , always a huge influence on her success
She is a doll! She's a spitting image of Michelle Kwan winning the most consecutive US Championship and now she's made history on being the youngest and prolly will do so for years to come
Jen MK is the GOAT, but this kid is the bomb, she has the potential to achieve even the great MK missed, Olympic Gold.
@@jrewing2383 Anything is possible JR , specially during Olympic year,, what I learned watching the Olympics in Ladies skating in the last 30 years is anything can happen, and it's not always the favourite who gets the gold, Alysa has a good chance as anybody, especially when she gets her triple Axel's and Quad back. Let's all support our American sweetheart, Go get em Alysa.
Innocent, shy, polite, humble, how a young person experiencing fame should be, makes it easy for others to root for you!
She’s adorable! Congratulations to her!! Wish her a lot more success!!! ❤️
She’s absolutely amazing
Jimmy is so adorable with kids. It's cute to watch. Her and maddie interview were sweet to watch!
She is so charming... so excited to see her succeed 😁
Even more that she’s from the East Bay!
WOW... This girl will be sensational!! Such maturity at his age.
A star is born! ⭐️
That little ritual maybe the most powerful mindset to become great to stay out of negative thoughts
What a personable young lady!
Love her so much and so proud of her accomplishments and achievement 👍🏻👍🏻
She's so cute! So happy for her; what an accomplishment at such a young age. Abundant blessings~
I love this girl been watching for a while so beautiful she looks like my granddaughter Jordana she makes me cry love her to pieces!!!🤗😘
Such an amazing little girl, she put on a superb performance. Wish her all the best in the future!
She won again! Wishing her the best and continue success!
Alysa was my best friend in 5th grade Awh! We lived in the same apartment building and hung out all the time:) her success is so crazy to me. Congrats girl❤️❤️
Lil’ Panda yes
Y’all should invite her back. Cause she’s now the 2x national champion ;)
She has the potential to be the worlds greatest female figure skater of all time!
That's if shes doesn't find drugs
She's great but this is nationals please look up "Alexandra Trusova worlds 2018" she landed 2 quads in a program at 13 at WORLDS , not only alexandra but theres alot of good young skaters, Anna shcherbakova for ex.did 4Lz_3T+4Lz,Rika kihira is doing 2 3A too and she is landing quads in training.she needs to add quads is what im saying. but this was amazing
she should start fixing her basics if she wants to be the top
@KEM MEK I think she will lose it when she reaches puberty. That's the thing - she's going to grow.
Um.. she's amazing indeed, but there are other amazing figure skaters as well
I went to school with her. So proud.
Omg this girl has such a positive vibe
when she talked abt her friends recording her laughing and calling it weird, i felt that
She is so adorable. Love her smile..
