I remember I was about 9 or 10 years old, it was my second concert, it was seven dust acoustic, Lajon said “it’s great to see all these people I grew up with, but it’s even better to see these people who grew up with us”. Then Lajon Pointed at me and invited me on stage with him, he gave me a guitar pick and a water bottle, my mom drank the water bottle.-. But I still have the pick. It’s by far one of the best days in my life.

Clint Lowery is a damn Guitar Hero for me, has been for about 15 years since my uncle gave me the Best of Sevendust compilation they put out just after NEXT came out. His riffs, his voice, his attitude, all he has to offer, definitely influenced me to start playing guitar too. Can't believe it's been 10 years since he returned to the band and gave us COLD DAY MEMORY, some of his and the band's best work to date and still my favorite record of theirs. EVERY album they put out is mint, all killer no filler action. Will always love the 7Bros, for life!

Home blew me away at 16. I could only buy the single at the time it was released and it had Denial and Waffle on it too. I would literally stare at the cover and the 7D logo while listening. No mobile phones, just you, your stereo and the cover of your fav bands. I would play that single repeatedly and hope to one day save up and buy the full album haha. At the time though you could only buy one album every so often and I think the next album I bought was Toxicity.

It's must be nice to be fans of a band that approximately 95% of their songs and lyrics are about the same exact thing (i.e. FAKE ANGER), and, on top of that, they don't usually talk about what their fake anger songs are about, only enhancing their claim as the kings of fake anger aggro metal. And to think, there are much better bands, both musically and songwriting wise, that has fallen by the wayside over the last 20-some odd years, while this repetitive, one-note metal band (if you want to call them that) writes the same exact songs over and over and over again....

I first met Clint in Kentucky at the Toy Tiger when he was playing with his first major band, Still Rain. (Still Rain still rocks). You guys played "Cut Through The Bullshit" and people weren't paying attention, so, Donnie got riled up and did a rather amusing crowd survey, and then you guys played Cut Through the Bullshit again at half speed. Through all the years of Still Rain, the thing that amazed me most was the guitar tone and the tight precision. You still rock man, and I own everything all of you have ever produced - Still Rain, Dark New Day, Doubledrive (which is AMAZING) and Sevendust of course.

Yeah, Still Rain was a very good band. Him and his brother were role models for a lot of us local guitar and bass players. Heck, when his band Still Rain played in our hometown at a rock club named "The Flaming Mug", all the hot girls from town went there. I want to thank Clint and his band Still Rain for helping me get laid back then lol. My ex-girlfriend lived right up the street from Clint and Corey, in the same neighborhood. Fun times. Fantastic Interview / Peak into you. Thanks. Imma learn that riff (Diary of a madman).. by watching this video a few more times, lol. I think it would make a great finger picking exercise song.

I like how he talks about taking favourite Parts or chords and put them into own songs. That´s what you call influence. I sometimes had Riffs, chords or even longer chord progressions that I unknowingly adapted in own tracks and it took me 20 years or more to suddenly hear the influence it came from. And as long nobody complainted back at its creation, it is okay in my book.

First time I saw them was in NYC club small club forgot the name when they opened for The Nixons lol and they blew them off the stage. There were about 40 people there it was awesome. Hung out at the bar with them. I think they thought I was in the business but it was so awesome.

I’m not really a big fan of Sevendust but this was an awesome interview and Clint seems like a great guy. The passion for music is clear as day here and that’s awesome!

I remember when Black came out but I wasn't into the heaver stuff yet. When Denial hit there wasn't a speaker attached to a cone that year😂
