I’m honestly really happy that extinction introduced bosses that still can be fought by the regular joes.It’s not as grindy as other maps to get the apex drops and artefacts.And really love how these are the only tameable bosses in the game. this strat still technically works, but the node on the tail can be tricky. idk if its server setting dependent or what, but the last node you kinda have to look away from the center of the body for it to even target you with the lightning and once it does, you're not very likely to get back under the node in the right place. i tried to tame it on a server with the awesome spyglass so i could see when it was aggro'ing me. anytime i just lined up with the last node, titan would completely ignore me until i was looking away far enough

YES, you can actually punch the corrupted node. You can even use a shotgun or a tek rifle... but you can damage the titan. I guess the best weapon is shotgun in this case... i just tamed it.
My titan kept running and hitting me with tail. 4 fucking hours, most the time was waiting for the lightning and other half it hit with lighting when I was not near
If you destroyed all the corruption nodes on the titan and then killed it while it’s knocked out instead of taming it, say throw a giga on top and kill it, would you get the engrams and the loot inside?
Someone told me they tried this and the flock knocked them off, any news about that, or is he just a idiot like we suspected? Will we see a forest and snow titan easy tame? Or is snow 2 much 2 solo tame now after the patch 2 months ago.
It's still possible. The flock can occasionally dismount you, but it's pretty rare if you place the foundation right. As for the other titans. They are possible to solo, it's just much harder. And require a lot more resources.

Do you know if you can put an industrial forge on a desert titan, because I'm thinking of taming one as a metal running base, but I don't know if you can put an industrial forge on its saddle?
All you really need is a couple thousand health, and a lot of Stam for stats. But yes, you can probably use stone for the design too. But I haven't tested it.
@@edgarcisneros7243 im using metal, it actually really cheap. 2k stam and 3k health my quetz level 90, just avoid the thunder by going under and the tail also pretty easy to avoid. once you did it you can tame it multiple times..
It's possible. Just kind of depends on how you ride the quet. Only the flock can damage the player if you get smacked by the tail just your quet is damaged.
We are trying this method right now. Does it still work? After the note the second hit, it somehow disappeares back inside the wing and we have to start.
I just did this tame for out first time. Used the Foundation, but not the hut on top. Got dismounted a few times, swapped quetz out a few times for a healthy one. The tail node was just not working. Could not get lightning to come. Switched to a Rhynio and that worked a treat and much easier to fly than a quetz. Still get dismounted but can jump straight back on just like a quetzal.
It's not nearly as easy as you make it look. It's very time consuming and the nodes take many hits before they're destroyed. The boss does not stay still so misses are frequent. Put enough points into speed to keep up. After I finished with the first wing the tail slap became more frequent. Once both wings were done then the tail slap was almost continuous. And getting hit by it glitched my quetz every. single. time. The lightning would also NOT strike for me when I was under the tail node. It would only happen from above and that made it a lot easier to get hit by the tail. I eventually gave up because the glitches from the tail slap were freezing my quetz and dropping it to the ground or getting it stuck in the boss's model. 😖
They must’ve changed some mechanic or something. This doesn’t work anymore. Half the time the nodes recede back in after you have blasted them with lightning 20 times. If you miss, it resets. And don’t get me started on the tail. It’s basically impossible with this strategy now.
Just to add. This only works in single player now. They actually did change the mechanic. You can’t do this from underneath anymore, only above and it takes FOREVER. If you miss once the while thing resets.
So do you get a quetz and go under the corruption and wait for the lightning to zap then it pops up and u still wait till it zaps again and it takes 1 zap for the corruption to go and u do this for all the nodes
It takes quite a few zaps for the corruption to go away. But you essentially just wait under the corruption until it's gone. And you should be fine. Only danger is really the tail if it hits you.
Is this patched? I tried it today and titan didnt target me when I was sitting in the box, first 2 corruption nodes were doable although with issues due to targeting, but when i was doing the 3rd one, he didnt attack me at all..

I'm not sure. It's a bit hard to judge sometimes, as it can either send one or two lightning shots.

How many zaps does 1 node take? Me and my friend tried this and it only worked after he started shooting the node when its exposed
It takes quite a few. But you have to hit them pretty dead on. Shooting does also work.
So the Flock only targets you alone? They don't deal damage to your flyer?
They won't damage the flyer if you're riding it. They will if you're not, I believe.

Wouldn't be worth it. They die after 24 hours, unless you're on single player.

They're generally near sunken entrance. But looking it up on the wiki is your best bet.

It's probably your character size, or the platform isn't far enough forward.
