I'd still call 911. You wouldn't have to open the door.
But we can't stop helping people. People have gotten to the point that they no longer react to anything. CCTV has shown a woman being grabbed off a sidewalk and the men standing right there did nothing. Just stood around. One old man was drug to an alley again people did nothing. Not even a phone call to the cops.
We are at a dangerous place of losing our natural empathy..
We're being dumbed down and conditioned.

Back in 2006 I lived at a military base on Whidbey island and I remember right across from my unit at after 1 am I was hearing someone yell Fire 😳. I called for help but of course fires spread to fast. I wish I had a Ring camera that could of alerted me to call even a few minutes can help.

Bicycle thief lady changed her story. At first it was "Where did you get this bike" like she wanted to buy one just like it. Then it was that she was looking for a friend's bike that was missing. Can't even keep her lies straight.

This is a scary, insane world we live in. The criminals and homeless are outnumbering us. Just a matter of time before law enforcement will quit, and people will boldly enter your home even when the door is locked. They will. They are going to bash in windows, go in, and take what they want, whether you are inside of the house or not, and we won’t have anyone to help us because there will be such lawlessness. Every person needs protection.
We are already almost to that point because the cops don't even show up a lot of times these days.

Most homes have faucets. But some homeowners must turn the water off in wintertime so it won't freeze or burst if they live in a temperate part of the country. You have to winterize. They can also install plumbing where the faucet has a long extension with the mechanism inside the basement so it won't freeze. There's also an adaptation so squatters who are squatting next door to you, can't walk over to your house and steal your water from your tap. Doorbell News showed one crazy woman who walked up to a front porch faucet, turned it on and walked away, leaving it to flood (and hike their water bill)... that last adaptation would prevent it. I don't know the names of the plumbing stuff, not a plumber.

The bait car video is disturbing. Just because someone who committed a crime shows up at my door looking for someone who may live there doesn't give the police the right to enter or search my property. It also doesn't allow them to have me step out of my house. You are going to need a warrant for that Mr. officer.
