I had to go for an emergency medical anusogram, oh must be nigh on 30 year ago, at St John Thomas Hospital Bermondsey, now I don’t know if you’ve had one but they aren’t painful as much uncomfortable. Anyway I was in my hospital gown and I was face down on the bed when the doctor came in.
“AWITE” he said I looked over my shoulder and if it wasn’t Mr Michael Barrymore.
“Ere” I said “you int a doctor is ya?” Barrymore looked at me over his glasses, and to be fair he looked the consummate professional what with his white coat, stethoscope and dilated pupils, wrist deep in a gallon drum of Vaseline.
“No I ain’t” he replied cheerily “my mate Baz is I’m just giving an ‘elping ‘and”
And he came up behind me
All I had left to say was “hey that ain’t your finger there’s no nail on that”
