Sympathies, and wishes for a speedy full recovery. My wife got onboard with me on a semi. She saw West, Midwest, Northeast winter conditions, and ice was her mortal enemy. Neither of us would want to face that at home every year.
When I use to work at a small grocery store up in the mountains where I live,we would sprinkle bags of rock salt on the walk way & it worked very well for melting the ice,have you tried that on the area from house to garage?
Oh I fell on the ice and the pain was so bad I had it checked out and now I just have to heal up. No broken bones, thank the good Lord.
Found out later i broke some ribs .
