The real problem is that most city people live in a completely different environment than the rural people. The differences between urban and rural lifestyle needs create a great difference in what works for each group. The politicians and the media and their writers mostly don’t live in either group’s shoes. I think everyone who wants to be president should go and live in the inner city and work on a farm for a few months each and not be allowed to use any of the resources that they already have, but only be allowed to live on what they can earn in each venue. That way they will have a better perspective of the consequences of their decisions.
