Interesting, I didn’t think of it that way. I took it as they were making her say a slew of words to try and generate her voice (like AI).

Theory:
In the tape where Lauren disappears, and Amanda says she likes mint chocolate chip right after her dad says it's her favourite flavour, is because she overheard Lauren's dad speaking in the background. And I think that's because the Amanda show relies on the viewer to speak to the television when given questions, and that's why we need to type in answers when being asked in the game.

You know a part of this that no one is discussing? How, apparently, Amanda has an actual friendship with Aunt Kate. So much so, that Amanda planed on sending Kate a birthday card. What made Kate special? Moreover, how did Kate assemble all of these toys and items that all had directly links to the taps and Amanda?
Even further still, why does no one question wooly? Wooly seems to have the same level of consciousness as Amanda but there's no discussion as to him being a demon or missing person. I think the creator of this game has spent a considerable amount of time focusing the audience's attention on specific things, and not others.
Theres actually a lot, SPOILERS if you havent gotten that far so you could some back to this.
In one ending, the character u play as (Riley) turns into one of the meat things with eyes in the butcher store, meaning that the missing people were turning into the meat slabs and stuck forever in the show. I think this applies to wooly as well, but not just any person, i think it could be assumed that Sam, creator of the show, was trapped as Wooly because he went missing, that might also be why he tries to help amanda sometimes when she feels down.
As for amanda and kate, we know that Sams adopted daughter, Rebecca, is the inspiration for the show and also knows Aunt Kate for the fact that they were having an event for the show at the library Kate worked at, she even sends her cookies, a treat that Sam likes when he’s on the coffee break show. So now kate wanted to figure out what happened to Sam and where rebecca is now.
Rebecca is Amanda and is now entrapped in the world, but shes also been cursed with chanting that the company who produced the show taught her, which is why she bounces back of acting like herself and then acting like the entity in control of her who wants out.
This is just what i think is going on and ofc theres so much more, but everything is intentional and the creator of the game put a lot of detail in everything to be considered, we’re the ones who have to figure it out

The first one was the scariest one for me no jumpscares or in-your-face horror just that the girl ran away from home with seemingly no reason

I’m trynna figure out why it’s called Herd of Mouth. Like at the end of the barnyard tape, woolly transforms into a normal sheep and is in the sheep pen with the other sheep, so it’s odd that this tape references a “herd”. I dunno though what you think

My theory: In the video where Rebecca says Bye yell, Pie man, Baa lamb, she's calling forth demons: Bael, Paimon and Balam respectively. They just use words she could use to spell their names with ease. This makes me believe that the show got so famous that it got the interest of evil people, probably some type of cult that now are using the show to lure kids. I mention this because of the video of the little girl, Lauren, who got so stuck with the show and then just disappeared. Lauren's video serves as an example of how the kids get kidnapped by this cult. Rebecca's dad probably was unaware of this, that's why he reacts surprised to how Rebecca responded to a voice that only she could hear. Maybe Rebecca's dad wanted to stop them, but they got him. Then they put Rebecca's spirit into the show and made her believe that she is alone. We can see how she shows a glimpse of her real self when she gets sad.
The man that speaks to the news tells us how the show is getting bad reputation because it tells the kids that their "mommies and daddies aren't always right". With this, I assume that they brainwash the kids so they can get them easily. Now, what do they do with the kids? My guess is that they need their souls, since they are more "pure" to offer them to the previously mentioned demons. The person who recorded the video where she mentions the demons probably wanted to expose them. Maybe in a future update we can see more missing children. I read that the company's name, Hameln, is german for Hamelin. Their motto is "Follow us to fun" and their logo is a mouse. This is probably a reference of the tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, who uses his piper to lure rats. In other versions he also uses it to lure children. See the conection?

My theory is that the entity (Amanda) traps whoever watches the show (or Lauren did run away), cause when Lauren's mom sets the camera down, Amanda says "I love mint chocolate chip", and Lauren's dad mentioned mint chocolate chip ice cream is Lauren's favorite.
Extacly! Thats also mine. Amanda's tapes work like the Pied Piper of Hameln, hence the name of the company, they lure them in and sacrifice them, hence the police-like corpse outlines we see on the "in your neighborhood" tape.

It's interesting, because the game tells us an interesting story, but we still don't really know what the entity is. My guess is that it's a manifestation of Amanda's negative emotions, but I could be wrong. The Puzzles are amazing, and the spooks are nuts. Who knows, maybe this indie horror game is what the world of Indie horror needs to get back on its feet. As for Wooly, and who he's supposed to be, could be the father? IDK.
Either way, can't wait to see what will happen next in the world of Amanda the Adventurer. 😱😀👍

A bit of reach but, the voice recognition bit from the 5th secret tape had some reference to Paimon, Balam, Baal and other demons that the Director tried making Rebecca pronounce

I’ve watched this one dude play it. He does theories and what not. And he mentioned how the company name is Hameln with a rat symbol and if you know the story of the Pied Piper, you’d know that the home of the town is called Hameln so the Pied Piper is Amanda’s dad who created the thing and the tapes/tv show is like the Flute and lures the kids to their death just like in the story once the Pied Piper got screwed over by the Mayor or king. It’s a cool Easter Egg.

Damn they really made it so obscure who Wooly is and what his motives really are. Wooly could probably be Sam trapped in the TV show protecting Amanda and warning you what she’s capable of, but on the other hand tho, Rebecca is credited for voice acting Amanda but Wooly is never mentioned in the credits. Wooly could be someone else entirely, but then when I think about it, since Sam mysteriously disappeared, it wouldn’t make sense to have Sam’s name in the credits yet Hamlin still steals his soul for the purpose of Wooly. It’s extremely odd and eerie excluding the voice credits for the other main character who’s literally the only other talking character in the show. There’s definitely something up with Wooly.
It’s very likely that Sam is the barn with red eyes at the chicken coop, since when you say sam after Amanda asked what the daddy is called, it looks at you.

Someone mentioned that wooly could be Kate. Which would make sense in the baking scene and where Amanda wanted to deliver a gift to a friend and you had to type her name. Which on the board it says Kate also has to deliver someone a gift besides giving Riley the tapes.
I think Wooly could be Sam, but I'm almost certain I remember seeing Wooly's VA credited in the credits for the first 2 episodes.
But wasn't Sam the person who showed up in the attic if you get all the tapes?
my theory is that Wooly isn't actually the innocent victim of Amanda that he seems to be. I think he's a puppet used by the demon to keep Rebecca from escaping. Every time Amanda mentions something that could relate back to her being Rebecca he tries to pull her back to the earlier topic. like when she kept going like "something bad happened to my friend" and he was like "Amanda is just confused, let's get a card" and when she said she could feel herself rotting and he was like "let's get back to our picnic"
That first tape is creepy, how the dad says “We have mint chocolate chip!” And then Amanda says “Mmmm, I love mint chocolate chip.”

I'm not the only one who thinks the viewer gets sucked into the show or killed by Amanada after a while. Like Lauren there's no way she could have ran away without anyone seeing her, especially her parents. That and Amanada could be a child's soul within the show, perhaps Rebecca's (her "real" name).
Lauren probably became apart of Amanda and ran away, since Amanda said “mmm, I love mint chip!” It’s mentioned Lauren’s fav is mint chip so she gave her soul to Amanda then ran away since Amanda says “I’m out there, somewhere” so Amanda is probably the devil (Rebecca saying demon names bye yell, baa lamb, pie man) trying to convince kids to give her their soul😊

Leaving her… alone. Just like the kitten mirroring herself.

Heres my theory:
Amanda sends a birthday card to her “friend” which is kate and sam also spoke about kate and how helpful she was which means that amanda knows kate either as amanda or as rebecca. When they got to rebecca to repeat those names, they were having her chant demon names to bring those demons, for example, bloody mary you have to repeat the name multiple times to bring them. The man in the headphones told rebecca something and rebecca said no either because they said something she didnt like or they told her to say no. I believe the man in the headphones is the demons she had just summoned and they told her something that she didnt like. For example, doing something to Sam????? And he goes missing. Sam also didnt want rebecca to be saying that and i think he realized what was going wrong. The company made rebecca sign a contract and i believe the company and the demons are working together. The company gets money from the show and the demons get children. Wooly might also possibly be sam. I think thats all 😅

I think with the silent tape, Aunt Kate is disguising as a researcher and is eacaping with Rebecca, they leave and escape through a forest where Rebecca finds a kitty in a hunter's cage, and while trying to free it accidentally steps on a beartrap. Aunt Kate, unable to comprehend this, refuses to do anymore investigating and gives the tapes to Riley after dying.
But that's just me though.

I have two good theories
1, the kid (Rebecca) got turned into Amanda somehow
2, when sam made amanda the adventurer, amanda ended up being a demon and Rebecca got killed or kidnapped by amanda

Okay, so Balam in English apparently means: lover, sweetheart, beloved, husband. Paimon, I am getting results for a “king demon” or evil/spirits in general. Then lastly, Baal means owner or lord.

I think Wooly is Balam, the demon. After seeing this video, the parts where Rebecca says the names that are clearly a misspelling of demons names, I went to search about them. It turns out that Balam can be represented by a man with three heads: one of a human, one of a Bull, and one of a lamb.

MY THEORY
at the ending of the sixth tape, it says “Herd of the mouth” which means being told by someone. Someone else said that ‘Paimon’ (what Rebecca was saying aka ‘Pie man’) is a demon the makes familiars and smth else but I can’t remember. Therefore, Wooly might be a familiar created, thats why he was never mentioned in the credits. Hameln made rebecca summon demons and Paimon created Wooly, and he was someone who distracts Amanda from finding out anything. He makes us believe hes the good guy and the victim, that’s why in one of the tapes he says ‘do you trust me?’.
My real question in 9:17 is that who is recording? Im really confused on that and i see nobody has talked about it.
In the game, there is an ending where we leave the attic and get transported to Amanda’s world. I think this is what happened to Lauren in Secret tape one. If you notice, Amanda and wooly are talking about going out and buying treats; as if to coerce Lauren to leave the house there by tricking her into a portal to their dimension… this game is on a different level with subtle horror.

As for the three demons, the thing they share in common is that they are listed as kings in the Goetia (Bael is head of Hell, Paimon is Lucifer/Helel's main servant and Balam is presumably based on Biblical prophet Balaam). Paimon and Bael are also listed in Weyer's Pseudomonarchia Daemonum.

I think since Hamln was so obsessed with spreading word of the show, recording Rebecca's voice, selling all the toys that you use in the attic, Kate suggesting it at her work, they're leading away the children who watch it. The boy in the letter suddenly disappeared and his brother suggested it was because of Kate's "other job". Considering Hamlin in fable is a tale of the Pied Piper leading away an entire town of kids, it can't be a coincidence
