This game looks interesting and will buy, but after your review, I have doubts. I play commandos 2 on ps5, controls are a pain. Is it the controls same with war mongrels?
If it weren't so tedious to see yet another console head who assumes his gaming platform of choice is the only one available, it'd be funny. But it's not. It's just irritating. Very, very inrritating.
I don’t think I said that at all during this vid? Merely pointing out there should’ve been more time spent refining controls before release on console. It was out on PC long before. Publishers should be running different levels of QA to make sure things like this aren’t a disappointment. I enjoyed the game, just frustrated by a fiddly control scheme. Works great on MnK!

No, you didn't say those words precisely, you just reviewed the game from the singular standpoint of someone who uses a controller only to play. You didn't mention how it plays on a PC in the vid. First impressions are the ones that stick, especially here on TH-cam. I don't watch TV pretty much at all anymore, and in the hours I spend here, I click on hundreds of vids. Mostly about gaming. Don't have extra time to waste on ones that leave a bad taste. There are many reasons that people succeed as video game content creators. One of them is, for sure, the fact that they don't make simple mistakes that risk alienating a huge chunk of their audience. Just sayin'...
@SamlovesLulu That’s pretty good feedback to be fair. The majority of games I play are using the Xbox. The channel has fed from my gaming account over the years and focusing on Xbox but as it grows it’s drawing people in who don’t know my starting points or what I focus on using. I’ll make sure I declare what I’m playing on in the future but I do like to play games that are available across platforms so I don’t limit my reach too much. Agree about the bad taste thing, but I’d rather give my honest opinion of my own experiences than say ‘it was fine’ just because I’ve been lucky enough to be gifted a code.

In my case, if you asked me for help, I can help a console player by telling them things like where to find the key to unlock the door, or how to get past that monster at the beginning of the third floor, or whatever. But I play exclusively on PC. Don't know a lot about playing games with a controller. So if it involved that part of it, I'd just keep my mouth shut. Just seems like a real easy to figure out, common sense kind of thing to me. Sorry you ran into assholes.
Thanks for the console review. I checked 5 other reviews before this one and they were all playing on PC.

I haven’t picked it up again recently so there may have been updates.
I really wanted this game to be good but the controls were so complex!

The console version is complicated because of the controls. I seriously wish they would allow mouse/keyboard controls on console :(
