I’m tempted to get this. I’d love to mod it with some Tem Morrison phrases from the Battlefront games and maybe find a way to give it a matte finish instead of the gloss. Only I’m not sure how to do any of that. 😅
Fun fact, the 187th legion wasn't canon until the lego fighter tank and even then I'm not sure if that made them canon in universe or just for lego star wars. In the clone wars he has the e187th battalion and they have more brown markings. the legion is actually a hasbro invention.

I'm an older lady, but I still prefer helmets that talk to me, which is one of the reasons why I like the Disney helmets much better than the Black Series Helmets. They're smaller too. The Black Series helmets wobble on my head they are so big. The Disney ones are cheaper as well, so Disney helmets are the best option all around for me. I also wasn't aware that the 187th Legion Clone Trooper belonged to Mace Windu, and because I had already planned on spending way too much money that day on the Ahsoka Lightsabers I really wasn't interested in dishing out any more money. LOL. Based on this review though I just went to the website and purchased it. Had to have it after all. I even got 10% off for being a card member and used a Free Shipping discount code. Awesome!

Great looking helmet. Hate how they do a gloss finish on a battle damaged helmet tho. Recently got the black series Rex helmet and it’s battle worn but glossy too. Tempted to spray it with a matte finish but too scared to.

WAY BETTER. Hasbro’s helmet is my personal most disliked product they have ever made. The visor and mouth shape is completely off and stretched. You can tell Disney actually was loyal to the ROTS references and matched the CG model or the Kenobi model.
This is gonna be a great budget mod helmet. I like it better on the shelf than the BS ones I own already, it looks both more canon accurate and also more to scale with the other BS helmets. $85 for a magic key holder is a big W

Thanks for the review, you confirmed my hope that it was smaller than the Hasbro (too bulky IMO). I do agree with you that its too shiny, but Ill just bust out a can of Dullcoat and take care of that.
I will stick to my Rotocast helmets for accuracy. However, from what I can see the Disney helmet is more accurate but looks to be a mix of Animated and Realistic versions of the clone helmet almost like what they did with the Rex and the other clones in the Ashoka series.
@@attilafekete7892 reread what I typed. I agree with you. the helmets from Andor and Kenobi were a mix of Realistic (ROTS) Helmets, and the Animated buckets.
It does look more greyish in certain light. In person and in my room, I felt the purple was coming out. But yea you got to go with the one you like best! May the force be with you!
I was waiting for you to hold a YES/ NO poll as to whether or not that was going to fit your grape! I would have voted no given your past expression on how large of coconut you have. I think this far more accurate than the BS series. You touched on all of the points except one, the tear drops on the outboard of the lens bracketing is spot on. The BS doesn't have that which is a deal killer. This one; now I have to find someone I know whose been to Disney that could snatch one for me. You know the eBayers are going to going in dry on what they'll be asking.
OOPS Man I thought I covered everything. I agree this helmet is so much more accurate though than the BS series one. The only thing I would change is the split on the top part of the dome. I don't feel its necessary. Even with my big melon it was easy to get my head in this helmet. I hope you can get one. I won't be back at the park for at least another month. But if I am I'll make a post if I see them again.

That is a pretty dope helmet. Love the colours and weathering. Size proportions look spot on to me. You’re killing it with all the May 4th releases

It’s non-canon. Lego makes non-canon figures like Darth Malak.

It's interesting because the thinner plastic around the visor on the Hasbro one is actually more accurate to the ROTS helmet
I'm curious how easily this bucket can be disassembled for painting. I really wanna get one and give it a nice ROTS-accurate matte repaint.

For sure man. I think hitting it with a matte clear will fix the issue with the shiny look. Pretty easy fix I think.

Exactly! Very easy fix for the gloss. Other than that and maybe sealing up the split, if you want to be really accurate, this helmet is perfect!

To me the visor just looks really weird. The size of the helmet is better than the Hasbro, but the visor from the Hasbro is better in my opinion.
