Bestir the Raven is a Gothic Metal, Symphonic Metal, Operatic Metal, and Doom Metal band hailing from Finland, formed in 2004. Their haunting and atmospheric sound has captivated audiences worldwide, blending the melodic and theatrical elements of symphonic metal with the dark and brooding intensity of gothic and doom metal.
Their debut album, "Requiem", released in the same year, is a masterful work that tells an epic, three-movement tale of a vampire and his young female victim, entwined in a tragic love story. The album's lush orchestration, powerful vocals, and evocative storytelling set the stage for the band's signature style.
