I watched this series and really enjoyed it. Wallace Chung here gave a great performance as a stoic man who didn’t know how to express his feelings, typical of men in that era, but eventually started to show his tender loving side to her. The evil concubine too acted so well that I really hated her scheming ways. Finally the FL showed a strong character with great maturity despite her age. I strongly recommend this drama.
Yes, it’s a lovely drama depicting days to day lives and small incidences. The male lead is an excellent actor. Very versatile and talented. I would like to appreciate the director of this drama for he has done a commendable work.

Her stepson. The ML married the FL eldest sister. The eldest sister was sick and worried about her son. As the ML's concubine also has a son and was aiming for ML's title. So, the eldest sister thought the best way was to have one of her sister married the ML as the 2nd wife. And even if she died, she knew her son will be in good hand. I wasn't a big fan of this drama mainly because the ML have 3 concubines. Even though he didn't love them, having a son with one of the concubine was a huge testament that you know, he slept with her.

But I see that he slept with them as responsibility, a proof that he was paying what he/his family owed their family and that he treated them well. In the 1st night of his marriage with FL, he also follow his ex-wife words and get close to FL but she neglect :))). Then he always protect FL because of his promise to ex-wife (at first, but after that is because he loved her). He is really high responsible man, he has so many heavy duties to follow.
