The Yes man ruling you said is wrong. It says owner not controller. Youd recieve the tokens regardless of controller
I am a big fan of loyal apprentice and skyknight vanguard. They both come down very early, and give you tokens that can be sacrificed to Caesar. Plus they're both humans, which is a big plus to me. Not very flashy, but definitely a powerful tool
I think legate Lanius makes them sac two if they have 11 because he forces you to round up no matter what. 10% of 11 is 1.1 rounded up is 2. I still think the average player won’t have 11 creatures but it is slightly better
Being able to flicker lanius somehow would be really effective too

I already have Silvar and Trynn Mardu Humans Aristocrats deck, so I think with this deck I want to go Combat. I like the base deck, and I’m interested in building Mr House instead.
Not saying Legate Lanius is great, but his ability is pretty different from fleshbag marauder or plaguebearer. First, only *your opponents* sacrifice creatures when he ETBs (unlike the other two where you have to sacrifice as well), and assuming your opponents have at least 1 creature each, Legate will enter as a 5/5 for 4 mana. Doesn't seem as bad to me. Plus if you can bring him back from the graveyard with either battle for hoover dam or other cards, you can get that sacrifice trigger again.
Battle for Hoover Dam only get MV 3 or less, so that doesn't work. however, the math here is wrong -- you get 2 creatures if they have 11 creatures, not 15, for the same reason you always get 1 creature when he ETBs instead of none. It's still not good for killing creatures (if someone has a boardstate of 11+ creatures, your problems aren't going away by making them sac the 2 weakest of them), but slightly better than he's making out.
Could we get a slightly pricier upgrades video or recomendations?
Maybe even a brand new deck list of your own creation? :)
I recommend Mythos of Snapdax for any Mardu deck. It's a great board wipe that can leave you with the best stuff on the board.
I came here to say this lol. Every time I build a mardu commander I ALWAYS include it. Shame that it's so underrated

I put isshin in my ceasar deck, freaking rocks, definitely a game ender when hitting for double damage.
You're asking for trouble with Goldnight Commander and repetitive triggers. Gonna be a nightmare to keep track of all the individual values
So how am I spending 18 bucks for these cards. They all seem to be from across a spectrum of decks.

Hey guy, I’m a new player and I own no decks yet. I really like Kaalia but I don’t want to spent over £100 on a deck. Do I just buy a precon like this? Or is there somewhere that will sell custom decks without it being loads of money please?
Commander is a pretty casual format a lot of people will proxy entire decks and play that way. There’s also a lot of budget commander deck options that can absolutely wreck a table.

We all bought a deck from eBay for £15 each. It was a random deck thing. That’s how we started. They both have been upgrading their decks a like theirs. But I hate mine, I really just can’t stand it. So I want to buy a new deck so I can keep playing. But I don’t know enough to purchase something and I don’t want to end up with another deck where I don’t like it and don’t have fun! Where do people buy proxy decks? And will it be too overpowered if I get one?
For reference my random deck I got was Bruenor and it had 0 spells 0 counters. Just 30 artifacts and 30 creatures with no abilities. It was not only really boring but without my commander I was useless. Which they figured and just countered it. I ended up sitting just not being able to do anything for hours because I had nothing at all. I hate it so much that I just want to start from scratch. I just don’t know where the best place to buy from is:/ or what to buy. Kaalia looks so fun but I can’t find anything under £100 for her

Check out animar soul of the elements. He has built in protection and can be built very strong in a budget. The deck won’t be useless without him and you’ll get access to counter magic! Just don’t go insane with any infinite combos or you’ll become arch enemy 😁

Im sorry Brotherhood of Steel. A faction from Fallout. Sentinel Sara Lyons is a member. I was jusndering on yake to that kind of deck.
Myreal shield of argive is going to be insane in that deck because the soldier she creates are artifacts. Treasure tokens seem like a super powerful route paired with the gnomes from Ixalan.

Oo, i hadnt considered the Gnomes and treasures. Myeal really would be. She is on my want list for my Drana/Limvala 'semi-stax' list. I love Fallout and the whole vehicle aesthetic. I eas thinkinhing of using Sarah Lyons or Elizabeth Taggerdy as the commander with Adelene, Evangal of Heliod and Reverant hoplite Hoplite to go a bit wide and alot of vehicles and thematic things from Fallout?

Not to be that guy, but you said an 18 dollar upgrade. Adeline alone is already 13 dollar or more, so dunno how you got 18 dollar, but this was definitely more. Just professional Face Breaker and Grim Hireling together would already be about 18 bucks.

Oh yea my bad I definitely meant the first 4 cards to be something separate. The 15 cards I mention after them are the upgrades for the budget version 😁

@@dachivale5319 Yeah the past few months I noticed a lot of cards went down in price. I think Wizards of the Coast wants to lower the price of the cards. I remember the rares and mythis rare sets in 2020 where all 50 cent to 1 dollar cards. That is why nobody invested heavily in magic from 2020-2021 then the Kamigawa raise the value of cards and now slowly their coming back down again.
