Yes, haha. But that'll get better. What I'm afraid of, is the birds. I'm not sure a cat would behave with outside birds😢 ducklings, etc. My parents had a cat that loved inside pet birds, but would mess with anything outside. Eventualy, most birds disappeared from their yard and came to ours (we live patio to patio) for nestling, and the ones who dare stay, were always in danger.

I also like to have a cuddle sesh the day I'm doing my bedding laundry. Like a Sunday afternoon nap, them they get outside time while I do the laundry and take a shower.
Makes me feel less guilty about not really letting them onto the furniture much.

Sounds like you will have your hands VERY full. Might want to put locks on faucet handles and keep bathroom doors LOCKED. Read they like to open doors, turn on water faucets (they love water) and flush toilets. Can't wait to see those videos!! 😁😁
Pro Tip - My black and tan mini "Rudi" would jump all over us when we got home. After a few years of that I finally found out how to stop it. I carried a couple of those "Milk Bone" dog treats in my pocket. When I got home Rudi would go crazy, as always. All I had to do was toss a Milk Bone treat across the room and he would lay down and eat it. It worked like a charm and he would be almost calm when he finished his treat.

Aww - cuddled up in their human's arm in bed is a daxie's natural habitat! We don't care about the dog hair and, all being rescues, it gives them a sense of security, they snuggle up like a doggy tetris😅Have you ever tried adding a few raw cashews to your blender, it gives anything a fabulous creamy taste, and you can make anything from milk, to cream, sweet or sour, icecream and we even make an amazing "cheese" sauce with them, cooked carrots, potatoes and nutritional yeast!

Hi, Fred and my ex were colleagues. When we saw each other we already knew. We both never felt anything like this. We also had the same humor. Then it went very quickly, I had sold my house and without any further plans Fred and I jumped into a new adventure. The best decision ever. xx

Will you keep Mimi inside to protect the various things cats prey on? Primarily birds, but small animals too. I love the kitties (I've had many), but they have an instinct to hunt and are very efficient killers. Cute, fun, snuggley little killers. ; )
If they don’t keep her inside then they’re essentially saying they’re neglectful pet owners so I doubt they’ll let her out

Did I hear Fred speaking in English in the background? Is the family fluent in English? I'm fluent in English and German and have discovered something interesting - I can read Dutch (which to me looks like a hybrid of English and German). Can't speak it at all, but I can understand some spoken Dutch. Some sentences I can grasp 100%, but others not so much. It depends on how many words in a sentence have a direct English or German counterpart that is close in annunciation. Anyway thanks for providing the Dutch lessons along with the Dachshund content. I really enjoy your travel segments too. Can't believe how fast those little guys are - like lightning shot out of a gun! 😲
