Good Witch is my ULTIMATE comfort show! I honestly watch it year round because it’s low stakes, comfy cozy small town vibes and the ‘magic’ elements are brilliant!

Yes, do yourself a favor and do NOT watch The Haunting of Hill House alone at night for the first time. I was so freaked out. It's an excellent show. The thing that makes it unique and endlessly rewatchable for me is that it gets me in my feels. I love horror movies, but I'm never *really* affected by what happens because the only emotion I'm feeling is fear. The Haunting of Hill House made me cry real tears. Please keep us updated on your thoughts when you watch it!

Haunting of Hill House is honestly first and foremost a family drama. Of course there are spooky horror elements throughout- but I love the dynamics between the siblings and parents, the flashback storyline that runs in tandem with the present (I ended up naming my daughter Theodora after one of the sisters). It's such a great show, I can't wait to rewatch it. I would also recommend adding Midnight Mass (same creator) to your list, as well as the upcoming The Fall of the House of Usher! :)

You are in for such a treat with the Haunting of Hill House! Did you watch the Haunting of Bly Manor? Kind of like AHS they have a lot of the same actors in a totally different storyline. Loved both of those for ominous spooky well written plots 🖤🍂 awesome lists!!

I read a mix of indie books and "normally" published books so it depends on the book! But most of the Kindle books I shared books I found at the bookstore so not indie reads!
I read the Darker Shade of Magic trilogy last year and although I liked the books, I've never been so disappointed with a final book in the series. I felt like I read it all for no reason. The standalone books are likely better to start with!

@@CarterSullivan They're all great, and they set up a lot of world-building! You can absolutely watch the tv show without seeing the movies and understand everything. I feel like the movies really add to the experience, though. Maybe it's just because I watch them all in real time as they came out so I'm particularly partial to them, but they really became a fall tradition for me!
Great video! Did you not have to pay duties on your way back into Canada? It’s the only thing stopping me from going.
Nope! This is a tricky question because it's really up to the border agent since anything less than 24 hours you technically have to pay duties on anything you bring back. But I always stay around $100 and that seems to be the sweet spot and I just say I'm bringing home some groceries & home stuff! Once again this is only my experience so I can't guarantee for anyone! But I cross the border about once every 1-2/months and have never had an issue! I also go on weekdays alone which helps a ton- obviously most people go to shop on the weekends so I feel like they are abit more lenient on like a Fri or Mon when I typically go! And I also notice if I go alone vs in a car full of friends they don't say anything! Hope this helps, it is abit of a gamble though☺️

@@CarterSullivan I got you. If you ever get in the mood it’s a really good witchy book series. I don’t usually like MMC either. But I really like these. And the author is doing a spin off series focused on the male witch’s character. Idk how much back information you’ll need to read them but if there as good as the first series I think I’m going to love it.

Very aware! Alot of things aren't in this day and age but I view everything okay in moderation! Hence why I only bought one as a treat! Luckily being on birth control has helped me be able to enjoy all of these things I previously couldn't in moderation!
