History command in Linux | Linux CLI tutorial series

  • In this video we will take a look at the history command and while we are at it, we are also gonna look at how to combine history with tail. We will also take a look at "control + R" method to search through the Linux Command line. The use of the exclamation mark with the command number etc.

    I use command - history | less - this lets me view all history with up and down Keys - then to exit - less - use q to get back to the terminal - the \ key with shift gets the start new command after the history command = | So type history | less
