I’m actually getting back in the saddle. I’ve just uploaded my Switzerland trip and I have some new videos coming soon. Consider subscribing to catch the em 🙂 thank you for the kind words though!
Last year I bought myself exactly one of these (also Street Rally w/ titanium Akra) as my second bike. I came from a '94 VFR750 RC36/2 which I rebuilt to a naked bike myself. The VFR is a very heavy bike, but known as a very pleasant "all round" machine. Tbh; I just liked the sound and the reliability. When it came to driving I thought it was Just Okay. Just a bit tiresome on the wrists. Then I went to test drive this MT09, which I'd read & seen the many horror stories about regarding the jerky throttle and torque characteristics. But it was the most pleasant and easiest driving experience ever! And I started off in Standard mode and half-way went to A-mode. No issues whatsoever. I was sold immediately! The only gripe I have is the twitchy clutch. The 'clutch-slip-area' is maybe 5mm on the lever. To this day I have to really focus not to let it stall on first-drive take-off. Other than that: I dont think I'd ever need another bike! Or maybe a Tracer9 for when I'm older and wiser😂
Great video myguy. Your opinion is minimally biased and i like what details you have to share about the bike. It's reassuring to hear you say the twichy throttle can be loved. I've reserved mine a month ago, got my license yesterday and picking up my bike in 19hours ;) Cant sleep or eat or do anything besides watch review's on the bike and this one is honestly (out of 30 orso, FZ09 & MT09) the best video to watch if you're on the edge of buying the First Gen MT09 Street Rally. (an absolute beauty of a collectors edition, a true pioneer in the Masters of Torque naked series)
1:40 AProkovich? whats this new brand? you can also modify the baffle so its not obnoxiously loud for everyone around you and still has a really nice sound.
@@TremourSphereUK the sound without the baffle is amazing, i totally agree, i just cant get my head around the fact that im annoiying the hell out of everyone who im riding with, all my neighbours, all the cats and dogs living in the neighbourhood...
@@wildwilco this is true but it’s unfortunately the sacrifice for having the MT unchained, you don’t get half the pops crackles and snarls with a baffle in and that is the character of the bike that I’m in love with
Sorry for the late reply. I’ve heard the ones off eBay are just as good as any other. But honestly maybe do a tad research. Wouldn’t want to misadvise!
@@CantEatRS as long as you use super unleaded and not regular youll be fine my dude :) i did test that theory with a shell garage a while ago and compared to super unleaded i found next to no difference, not with modern bikes anyway old classics are very different.
I can't fathom why this video has suck low views it's one of the videos I watched before buying my mt09 street rally
Man your vids are awsome
Thank you dude :) I’ll probably do another review as I’ve now had mine for around 3 years!

You never know, I may return fully.
Yeah, buddy ;)

The bike made me do it...
I really enjoyed your video and your down to earth and humorous personality. It seems you've stopped making them now, which is a shame but I've j

Only problem I’ve got now is I’m too big for it 😂
Enjoyed that, I would definitely consider mt09 🕺

Sorry for the late reply, hope your loving it! Still got mine after 3 years and no intention of selling!

That’s the Chinese sister company mate, and very nice, I prefer the baffle out personally.

Nice video! Thinking of getting a street rally too!
Quality bike cant recommend enough! what are you coming from?
@@TremourSphereUK I had a KTM 690 SM Prestige. Very fun bike but not suitable for traveling to other countries with it. Is the mt09 suitable?
@@thijsw6506 not particularly no, the fuel tank is really quite small and been a triple itll guzzle fuel
@@TremourSphereUK welp, I bought one anyway! Cheers!
vlognya keren nih! :D
And again where did u get those mirrors I like the look of them for my mt09 cheers ta
just an ebay special man, use some electrical tape to beef them out if your using a street rally
@@TremourSphereUK hi what about the steering damper which make ?
Hi What steering dampers was it u were speaking about for the street rally ta

I'm confused is there a difference between MT 09 "Street Rally" and regular MT 09? or they are the same?
the rally has extra fairings and a custom seat for the street rally
engine wise its all the same its just like a limited edition mt09
Where can I find the fairing???
My man i wouldn't be putting supermarket fuel into my bike
Evor I’ve done so for 10 years and I’ve never had an issue. You have to go out the way for anything other. Super unleaded is usually my go to
@@TremourSphereUK Oh I've always avoided them guess I'm wasting money not using them lol

14 litre tank
