    Great video. Awesome camper shell! Love my gray X1. Thank you for such a brilliant design in engineering and comfort. Bravo!

    I know you guys are doing plenty of business with the X1, but personally I'd love to see you release a bed cap standalone (without tent). I'm an old-school ground tent sleeper but your bed cap looks fantastic, probably the best on the market. Keep up the good work.

      Definitely second this! An everyday shell would be great.

    Looks slick! Well done. Some feedback for v2: overlanders can be seriously lazy and having to deflate the mattress to keep the bedding in place will be a big turnoff for a lot of buyers. More space there would surely be welcome.

      Thanks Gus - More space is always nice for sure - the advantage of a thinner clamshell is lower overall clearance and being more likely to fit your camper in a standard garage. We'll consider the feedback though, thank you.

      I thought the same thing and picked up my X1 last week. With a small air pump it only takes about 2 minutes to deflate the Exped DUO that comes with the camper. I pack away other things while it is deflating.

      I heard that V3 will have a Star Trek beaming pod so now those lazy overlanders won't have to climb up into the bed and climb up into the tent. :D

    I’ve never been as impressed with a RTT. You guys did an amazing job. Hoping to see you in OR these year with my Taco.

    Wow, now I must say that is AWESOME! Looks like the GoFast Camper, but you guys took this to the next level. I'll be looking for you at the Overland Expo in Flagstaff, AZ in May 2023.

      Do you know if you could buy a tent at the expo ? I’ll be there aswell !

    Great video. Nice walk-through for one take. :) Hey, Oregon boy here, living in Phoenix. I'm considering a solution like this for myself. I want to explore Sedona and the surrounding area over the next year or so. Your build seems very well thought out and I love that you've considered the Oregon rain in your craftsmanship. I'll see you in Loveland, CO this year (2024) to take a look.
    There are a few questions I have, but can't seem to locate the answers on your website or in the videos I've seen. I'll list them below, maybe you can direct me to a resource to help. Here you go:
    I have a Ram 2021 1500 Limited, quad cab, Eco diesel. I'm 6'2" and 250lb.
    - How long is the bed (sleeping)?
    - How much height is there at the end of the tent for feet (size 12.5 US or roughly 11.5 in)?
    - How far over the cab does the X1 extend (my truck has a huge moonroof)?
    - My truck has a split tailgate, I noticed in your videos that the X1 seems shorter than the truck bed. Can I have you build a unit that is longer or am I good with the standard length? My concern is, if thieves can wiggle something down into the split gate, they will be able to pop it open and gain access.
    Just an idea, but when you update your website consider adding dimensions. May help someone like me figure these things out.
    Thanks again for the great content and I look forward to your reply.

    How difficult is it to take this rig off the truck bed should one need to?

    I love the thoughtfulness and attention to detail put into the X1. Any plans to make a pop-top version?

      Thanks for the compliments! Right now we don't have any plans for a different style of full pop-up camper.

    Deff saving up for one of these!! I did notice in photos of the non 5’ bed models that the floor panel over the cab appears to stick out into the bed limiting the “full bed standing access” - is this something that might change going forward? I’d love to be able to stand up in all 6’ of the bed and I imagine other folks would too. Thx!

    Seems like common issue with this style camper is water entering truck bed at interface between truck and camper. Is this well managed with this particular camper?

    • @superpacific_usa
      @superpacific_usa  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Every truck bed is different in terms of sealing it against water intrusion, so . We use a beefy double bulb seal between the camper & bedrail, and additionally we use butyl tape to address any other gaps at the points where the camper & truck bed meet. The camper itself does a very good job of shedding water.

    Love the design and build quality of your products, but I drive a 4Runner so obviously the Switchback X1 won't work. Do you have any plans to offer a standalone wedge style RTT for people who don't need the truck bed/camper portion? Would really love to run a quality lightweight tent with features like that!

    • @superpacific_usa
      @superpacific_usa  ปีที่แล้ว

      We don't have any plans for a standalone RTT that would fit a 4Runner.... someday maybe.

      @vonrunner ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thebigempty_5792 I said I'd like to run a quality, lightweight, and well made tent with similar features to this. I have no desire to run one of the many cookie cutter/re-branded Chinese tents 98% of the companies are selling.
