    I have had a tpcast for months now, but that grey screen thing has put me off. I have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it - even replacing my 2 gtx1070s for a gtx1080ti. In the end I gave up on it. But now i have seen your video i thought i would try opentpcast. I didnt fancy opening my box to change the sd card before, but after seeing this vid I decided to. And WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I just played non stop for 2 hours and not a SINGLE grey out. Thanks mate! And u are right. It IS worth it.

      Awesome, so glad my video helped out! It's hard to believe that the grey screen issue is a software issue rather than hardware. TPCast really screwed up with their software and I can't believe they haven't updated it to fix the issues themselves

    A open Tpcast tutorial for vive would be awesome.

    That battery melting issue could be serious. Nice review mate.

    I have had my wire above my head for a year now and when i did it i felt like i got the same freedom you did in holo point you did without the problem the only problem i run into now is in like the nest when im swinging my arms above me alot even then its not bad but when i moved my vr and had cord on the ground for 3 days i couldn't stand it and the freedom of that wire being off the floor is amazing but for $300 i will wait for the tp cast 2 and keep the wire above me for $15

      I never tried that method of wire management, but I have heard lots of good things about it. Definitely stick with it until a better wireless solution comes out

    shame you had so many issues setting up, my issues were it did not work with SteamVR Beta.I added a second network port and switched to full release SteamVR and have had no problems. actually seen an improvement on games where occasionally my virtual hands would detach and float around. don,t get a buzzing noise from the sensor on the wall either.just love the freedom. looking forward to a hands on review of the vive pro. good informative vid thnx.

    if 1.0 supported higher resolutions i'd consider it but don't really see any reason to get a 1.0 TPcast now especially with 2.0 coming and the HTC solution as well might as well wait

      @Bumble49  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think the TPcast 1.0 will be left in the dust by Vive Pro, Vive Wireless, Intel Wireless, and TPCast 2.0. I couldn't wait for wireless VR though!

    Hi does this work without an internet connection, I sometimes use offline mode when playing vr, would the wireless adapter still work? Cheers

    Nice, great video. Sounds like a lot of work to get it working right, though. If you have some money left, you should try one of the Micosoft Mixed Reality headsets and see how that compares to the Vive and Rift. I didn't even know they existed until recently. Apparently they were released around the end of october and they don't require any additional sensors. It just works!

      Thanks, I am pretty interested in the Microsoft Mix Reality HMDs, especially the Samsung one which has higher resolution than Vive and Rift. Inside-out tracking could become the standard for VR if they can perfect it. I probably won't buy one though because I'm getting the Pimax 8k and Vive Pro

      Cool! I was trying very hard to find examples of augmented reality with the Microsoft HMDs, but for some reason they are hard to find. But the Vive Pro might be able to incorporate augmented reality as well with its front cameras, so that'll definitely be exciting as well! :)

    I was told that the TPCast lags quite a bit.

    The green line in the peripheral vision was a deal break for me. I use a really thin face pad on my Vive so it was very noticeable for me. That and the shitty router was enough to make me return mine.

    Wow thanks for this review. Want wireless, but this is way too half baked. Except for the battery, that was a bit overdone. I'll hold off for the next wave of products.
