Quite the design, those sensor masts must be made of some very heat resistant stuff heh. Was fun watching you try to figure out how things fit on this ship. Now just for some context (and possibly as a way to understand why David choose the numbers he did), each of the ships sizes are based on the "unstreamlined cylinder" design option from Transhuman Space. For example, a SM +6 ship would be a cylinder 60 ft long 12 ft wide with a surface area of 3,000 ft² and a volume of 10,000 ft³. The radius of the cylinder is always going to be 1/10th the length of the ship (double this for the actual diameter of course). Surface area follows (roughly) a 3, 6, 15 progression, increasing by 10 each time it repeats (a SM +7 ship would have 6,000 ft² of surface are while a SM +5 one would have 1,500 ft². Volume is 100 ft³ per ton. Ship's mass follows a 3, 10 progression, increasing by 10 every time it repeats (so a SM +5 ship will be 30 tons and a SM +7 one would be 300 tons). While making something that's fun and feels right is more important then making sure the ship is mathematically realistic, it can be fun playing with a ships shape and trying to make sure it still falls within the actual numbers (though you'll have to choose if you want to keep the ships volume or surface are the same since changing one will change the other so best to ignore one of them unless you want get super hardcore with things).
