I’m in this video! I found myself in the background at 7:00 and I found my truck in the parking lot. Thanks a bunch for coming to our Hamfest! See you at HamCation in February.
Hi Eric, Thanks for making this video. My first table at a HAM-Fest, showing the products, diplexers I made for the ICOM 705 lovers. I was looking bad and tired. That's not the quality of the video, traveling up-down USA-Europe taking its toll, two days before a truck parked his loose front wheel with 120 mph in my car, ample survived. And making Ralph happy with the missing part for his very nice enclosures. What a week but also a nice promotion. And soon share a real coffee? 73 Jan WØJWL.
Looking into that dial set for the IC-9700. My "remote" operation will be from the patio (radio side) to the A/C controlled room. That's how we do it in Winter Haven and FL overall!
Not as in depth as some previous videos of Hamfest visits , I could have spent more time browsing the tables but I just wanted to share a little of my experience there this year. Some people hate these videos tremendously, some think it's better than watching cold case on ION TV again, lol
That 23cm rig looks cool. I wish there were more radios with the option to use the really high frequency bands being produced today. We’re not far from losing all these bands to a big 5G company.
I don't know why anybody would think you were stupid for buying that it's a beautiful radio. Once I do get my tower back up and set up we will do some 1296
Just curious if you are getting an az-el rotor, or similar to point the beam. Tried twice to get set up in 432 Mhz EME, but unemployment got me each time.
I always avoid ham fest cause I don't want to be tempted to buy something, my wife would nag me about😂 but I love visiting field day in Indian county when I visit from Alabama.
Are you going to do a short video for the 471a like you did the 1271a? Is it in comparable condition? I love the late-70s to mid-80s radios. My daily driver is a Kenwood TS-430S, and I have a Kenwood TS-670 quad bander that I mainly just use for 6-meters.
@@HamRadioConcepts After watching your two videos, I was checking out the radios on the various online databases. I learned that the three radios you mentioned in the IC-x71a line were the only three options available in that line. BUT, in the IC-x75a line, there were a total of FIVE: IC-275a (2m), IC-375a (1.25m), IC-475a (70cm), IC-757a (6 & 10m), and the IC-1275a (23cm). Man, those were the days!
Hey Eric. It’s Robert over on Roseland road. If you want help finishing your Shack. I would be glad to help, since ii will eventually build one for myself. I was looking at the 1271 on Friday, almost bought it, lucky for you I didn’t. We can meet again at Ruby Tuesday. Serious about the help, that way i can learn from you. Later.
Sorry I missed the MLB Hamfest this year. Thanks for this video YZI as now I feel I was there!

I plan on buying the puttikeg mini CW trainer so I can play with CW on my ft-817 eventually, which I'm still struggling to figure out and use.
