      Most TH-cam channels just show basic things, and those with some advanced stuff are easy to recreate. I mostly dont know how you do your effects until i watched the video

      Great point - yes, I try to take mine to a different level to make the effects stand out in an engaging way (which is why it takes me so loooong to make the tutorials :)). Thanks again for the comment!

    Hello there! I'm just a junior, but in my school, we're required to make powerpoints to present our activities and etc. I've never tried to make a powerpoint on a laptop or computer because I don't have one, and I'm not sure when I'm getting one. But I do make my powerpoints on my ipad. Is there any way to, you know, make a powerpoint fabulous and amazing just by using an ipad? If you could, can you post a tutorial about it? I really need it. If you read this, thank you for your time! And I like watching your tutorials! I've learned a lot from them (:

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nina - thanks for the question! Hmm I haven't ever really tried using it on an iPad before, but most of the effects (like this one) should work. Also, if it's helpful, my partners at nuts and bolts speed training have developed this comprehensive guide for ipad: nutsandboltsspeedtraining.com/powerpoint-for-ipad/

    Hi Spice, this time it is not a ppt question ;) I would like to know, how you make the shots of you in front of the camera. I like that white space, and the angle. any tips for me? Background, lightning, Camera? that would be awesome!!!!

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tina - I've done it in various ways - i currently have a very simple wall set-up - just a white sheet with 2 box lights on 2 sides. I also usually use my iphone to film with a phone tripod and lavalier mic. It works well for my needs currently. In the future, i might upgrade to make it more professional, but given I don't do hair/makeup videos, I don't really need the perfect light / detail at the moment. Hope that's helpful!

    What version of powerpoint are you using for all your videos? Office? 365? or stand alone version and year?

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 365, the subscription in my later videos - though I started with 2010. In this one, I believe I was using 365 already.

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Imran Hriday hmmm weird! It should be in there. If you download my asset files (link in description) it's in there too as a backup.

  • @tryitstd
    @tryitstd 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Eps file doesn't load in my power point 2010. Do you use any kind of add-ons.

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not all FreePik eps files work to drag into PowerPOint for some reason (but most should) - have you tried several other images to make sure it's affecting all of them? An alternative is to just download the free download file that I have in the description, as everything is already pulled into PowerPoint for you.

    • @tryitstd
      @tryitstd 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just switched to 2016 version and now it works fine. I have tried with several eps files in 2010 but none of them opened. Thank you.

    Mam, I have a doubt. How to make the WHEEL effect to rotate anticlockwise ? WHEEL effect is only happening clockwise I can't able to change it to anticlockwise ? Please reply ASPA. It is urgent for my seminar.

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sumit - I usually can't reply too quickly / asap, given how many comments I get - but unfortunately you can't do the wheel in the opposite direction. Maybe they'll add that as an effect option one day though!

    I'm trying to learn more in PP but this is way over my head. I downloaded the paint splash you used from the website you suggested and had to spend an hour trying to figure out how to ungray the "ungroup" option. Found another image, was able to save as a metafile (don't even know what that is but came across a forum), used that. Finally ungrayed the Ungrouped, but my lines never appeared as on yours. Can you recommend a slower, I guess more basic idea for grouping due to all these issues I'm having with this? Or am I going to have to educate myself on every picture file type prior to proceeding? Very frustrating. (not you, just the vastness of my lack of knowledge and ability to manipulate).

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sabrina Crawford Hi Sabrina - yes this effect is pretty advanced though it may be a tech glitch. I'd suggest you use the free download file (found in the description) to try the effect with the file already ungrouped for you. It'll help with the frustration at least :). What version of ppt are you using? I've had people report a few issues here and there with old versions so that could be it too. Yes windows meta files and enhanced meta files should also work when ungrouping.

    why i can not select edit point for this shape in PPT?
    Please explant for me!

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah some imported vector shapes aren't able to be edited for points - not sure why but just the way they're coded. It's quite annoying, as that would really help. Maybe try a different pic?

  • @darrenzacher215

    Hi there. I didn't quite follow how you created the splash cover around 13:18, would you be willing to PM me to explain? Thanks!

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Darren, sure, I can clarify anything you like. Which aspect was not as clear?

    • @darrenzacher215
      @darrenzacher215 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      PowerPoint Spice I ran into a few issues: First, when I tried to paste my photo as the slide background, the photo became magnified and cropped. I don't know how to prevent that from happening. Second, when you paste the splash cover, did you fill it with the slide background? You didn't mention doing that, but I can't see how the splash cover would cover just the slide content outside of the splash layer shape.

    why not merge shapes?

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried, as that would indeed be logical to do to put the pieces together - it didn't work for some reason with this type of file.

  • @mrs.monicautt6268
    @mrs.monicautt6268 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    When I regrouped the splash, there were some green outlines remaining. Any idea where I went wrong?

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mrs. Monica Utt hmmm so you're using the "hard way"? Maybe you didn't remove the outline from the shapes - just do that and it should fix it - also feel free to get the download file as it already has it made for you.

    hi, when i dragged the eps file onto my ppt, suddenly my AI open by itself, i'm using ppt 2016 and i tried several types of images on freepik (including the one you use) but all of them make my AI opened by itself, any idea what to do?

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tian - unfortunately, PPT keeps changing which file types it supports. It has recently take away EPS compatibility. You can convert your file to an EMF using the free cloudconvert.com converter. Then, just use the same process and put your EMF into PPT and ungroup there. Hope that helps!

    • @powerpointspice
      @powerpointspice  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      PowerPoint annoyingly stopped support for EPS files shortly after I made this video. You now need to convert your EPS files to EMF with cloudconvert.com (easy and free) - it’s the same process after that.
